Let me tell you what happened to a relation of mine in September in Asmara. He has 3 children and a pregnant wife. He is a member of Eritrean Army from national service. Last few years, he overstayed his leave in Asmara and refused to return to the fronts following to the start of the Tigray War in August. They came to his house and his pregnant wife told them she does not know where he is and she assumes that he is with his army. Then they told her she is lying and they closed the house (ተዓሺጉ) and imprisoned her with her little child. The other two kids are staying with neighbors. He will hand himself soon now that the war seems over.

Sarko, You are an Agame and by definition not capable of intelligent thought. In Eritrea, military service is mandatory. It is a crime to dodge military service. It is also a crime to aide and abet service dodgers. The same laws apply everywhere in the world. In the USA, when they had mandatory draft, thousands were jailed as draft dodgers. Hundreds thousands sought refuge in Canada. They had a criminal record until Carter pardoned them. Here is what Wikipedia says about Draft Evasion.

Draft evasion is any successful attempt to elude a government-imposed obligation to serve in the military forces of one's nation. ... Such evasion is generally considered to be a criminal offense, and laws against it go back thousands of years.

Here is the US article of law which mandates 5 years of jail for those who aid and abet draft dodgers or

... or who knowingly counsels, aids, or abets another to refuse or evade registration or service in the armed forces or any of the requirements of this chapter,
... shall, upon conviction in any district court of the United States of competent jurisdiction, be punished by imprisonment for not more than five years or a fine of not more than $10,000, or by both such fine and imprisonment...

But what is ironic is that it is an Agame who thinks what Eritrea is doing is somehow wrong. Isn't it the TPLF thugs who have refused to give food aid to starving Agames parents if their children do not join the rag-tag militia to be used as cannon fodder, or run away from the fighting.
