It is better to wait to digest the information. Both sides could not agree to disarmament. Only TPLF is expected to agree to disarm itself.

Is it a victory for you? Don’t celebrate. Wait for details.
This is mistake #4 in just under 4 years.
Nothing short of a total annihilation of the TPLF is a victory.

The TPLF is losing the war and hiding weapons in the mountains for a long fight. PP is giving them a break to re-group. A retro transfer payment in billions is heading their way. What a tragedy.

Well, this is a negotiation is fake. Where are the major stakeholders? It just prepares Amhara and Eritrea for more readiness to dislodge TPLF. TPLF's life is more in the hands of these stakeholders. Time will tell.

He talks about both side this and both sides that but failed to talk about the main issue of agreement.
Nothing is new here. American taken initiative for peace is always not to bring peace but to give time and opportunities to their Chiwawas for more devastating war and destruction.

I doubt anything will change. Anything to change the Ethiopian government should disarm TPLF immediately. That is the start. Without it nothing will change. The fighting will continue until TPLF is gone.

TPLF is being disarmed as we speak. So the only thing that TPLF achieved through the negotiation is to save the lives of its top leaders by getting amnesty. If war continued, no TPLF leader would have survived. Now they have saved their lives after sacrificing so many lives.

Don't get distracted by the diplomatic word "both sides". It was clear who refused to be disarmed and who refused to agree to cessation of hostilities. So it is a no brainer that TPLF agreed to disarmament and the gov. to cessation of hostilities.

If this is true, then, it is the most darkest and embarrassing day for Ethiopia and Ethiopians. Absolutely darkest day.

Decoration of agreement

These are the 12 points agreed. Specially point 4 explicitly talks about disarmament of TPLF fighters. It is practically terms of surrender!
