There are many harmful cultural practices in Ethiopia in general. In Tigray province, the most conspicuous harmful cultural practice is Husbands Cruelty. In Tigray, Males regard women as sub-human and cruelly treat them in many social setting, either in marriage or sexual encounter. To hear this is not a surprise to me.
