Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Mike Hammer is in South Africa to observe and to participate in the AU-led talks along with United Nations and IGAD, and to support efforts to have
1. an immediate cessation of hostilities,
2. to deliver humanitarian assistance to all Ethiopians in need, to prevent further human rights abuses and atrocity – atrocities, and
3. to secure Eritrea’s withdrawal from northern Ethiopia.
Those are our interests, but importantly, those are also the interests of the Ethiopian people.

The very willingness of the Ethiopian government to attend the so-called AU brokered negotiation is STUPID.
The government should have firmly close the door on external players from interfering in its internal affairs.
The government’s only response should be confined to assuring the US it has no intention of creating situations that threaten their interest.
The government must show firmly it is in charge of the affairs of the country by ignoring/rejecting external uncalled for meetings,negotiation,etc
The US arm twisting to force the Ethiopian government to accept TPLF as a legitimate player in the country’s politics ,should be rejected without ifs and buts.
Hopefully the government has learnt from its mistakes to never given to outside harassment.

እውነት ነው ግን ደግሞ አሁንም እያሸነፈ ነው::ሁለቱም ለድርድር አይደለም ለመነጋገር የሚያበቀ አጀንዳ የላቸውም::ካለም ፈፅሞ የማይታረቅ ነው:: እንደማይሳካ ይታወቃል::ጠላት ከማብዛት እሽ ብለህ ጠላቶችህን ታጠፋበታለህ::
