Perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel for the Horn

Post by Eripoblikan » 25 Oct 2022, 11:06

With the accelerating rout of TDF, top TPLF leaders will be convinced to seek asylum in the West. With few friends inside or outside Ethiopia, TPLF has been quite a liability to the Tigrayan people. Abiy can treat the people humanely and wean them off the hateful arrogant politics of TPLF.

Afterwards, Abiy would be wise to call for a broad-based national dialogue involving all Ethiopian political groups and the civil society.

God willing, Isaias will be sidelined in a blood-less coup by the old guard which paves the way for a broad-based transitional government. After a few years of transition, national elections can be held.

The political stability of Eritrea and Ethiopia will surely have a domino affect and Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan will benefit.

Let peace reign!
