Taking over some towns and cities does not end the war!
Isaias and Abiy may think the end for TPLF/TDF is near just because they are able to control some cities and roads. 80 % of Tigrayans live in the rural area and Tigray is geographically a perfect place for gorilla warfare. More than any thing the Tigrayans people are against Abiy and Isaias and are in full support of TPLF/TDF. The Tigrayan people have no option other than to fight unless Abiy makes the only right decision of resolving his political differences with TPLF in win-win peace agreement . The war will soon move to Eritrean highlands and both Ethiopia and Eritrea shall be unstable for the years to come .

I agree with you except Tegaru obsession with Eritrea. You can't fight them. You can't win them.
When you had 120m Amhara and Galla under your control you couldn't let alone 7 million famine ridden short legged Tegaru.
You need to forget Eritrea and return to Debre Birhan and start with killing all Galla in Tigray soil.
This isn't their war. Why they there? Zero mercy.
Avoid Afar and Eritrea and you might go far. The weakest link is Amhara.

Just for the record, Isaias was saved by PM Meles in the year 2000 as the TPLF led Ethiopian forces were at the door of Asmara.

Aba Qeshi
Pro-TPLF Alex de Waal says TDF left Shire because they were running out of ammunitions.
With no contact to the outside world, I see a very difficult period for the Tigray people for the next 10 to 20 years.
