English should be the only official language of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Inherently, Amharic is naturally as elastic and board as English, it has beautiful alphabet, idioms, folklores, most fit to explain higher level complex abstract ideas, reach with literature, philosophy, theology, government studies, etc. You must be a juvenile TPLF overdosed with excessive hate for Ethiopia. Like it or not, Amharic is not only a national language, it is continental and international language. Somali, Afar and Afaan Oromo have all been adopted as official working languages recently, I believe there are more Gurage people than Afars but neither Gurage nor any other minority language has been recognized as working languages, Should Ethiopian federal government add Gurage as working language? Gurage focus should be on how to create a standardized Gurage language instead of serving as Amhara mouthpiece.

Everyone should be proud of their mother language.
