On the one hand, I agree with you that the government of Ethiopia is not using ENDF's victories to demoralize the TPLF and its rag-tag militia and their Diaspora supporters. On the other hand, I think the decision to tone it down is meant to avoid pressure from the white snakes who want to save the TPLF terrorists. After all, what the white snakes want is a weak Africa so that they may continue to rob it of its resources. Groups like the TPLF are used by the imperialists to destabilize the continent. But I think youtubers like EMS, Dere News and Natnael Mekonnen are getting their feed from the government! In any case, I trust them! But I keep away from the likes of Feta who, like the Agames, have no qualms about fabricating fake news.

I think EBC's failure to update battle field news does more harm than good. I agree that EBC should not cover every routine battle field events or disclose classified military strategies, but covering major news worthy events is critical. After all, the international community or the West values informal YouTube channels as grassroots information source. And these YouTube channels (often sponsored by PP) are breaking sensational news equally heard by every party on the internet. The war already official, the government has not to shy of what it is doing. If the government is timid of what it is doing, why is it fighting. The only thing the government has to be careful is strictly following rules and laws of convention of engagement. The public should be informed about the end goal of the war and the progress made in the battle field.

I like this silent battle. The Federal government has understandably chosen to remain silent to avoid the pressure from the white masters as you have stated eloquently. As far as trusted information sources in Ethiopian situation is concerned, Gobeze Sisay has been doin a terrific job. Some of us used to be critical for whistle blowing facts on the ground for it could undermine military strategy, but he disporved us by cautioning the public and the armed force to stop procrastination. If one weighs the reliability of YouTubes and EBC against, Gobeze Sisay, he is the most reliable, EBC stands in the middle whereas those like Dere Tube are light weight like a feather.
