Abiy Ahmed is playing the ethnic federalism game I believe these border conflicts are made to drive Adwan weyane out of northern Gondar and northern Wollo as well the Amhara forces want a buffer zone between them and weyane I am not 100% sure if Abiy Ahmed is brave enough to do this now when he was supposed to do this back in December 2021
