ሻደይ ማለት በትንሹ የተለወጠ ጸደይ የሚለው ቃል ነው! ጸደይ ማለት ደሞ አደይ አበባን የሰየምንበት (አደየ እንለዋለን በጉራጌኛ) የጸደይ ወራት፤ መስከረም፣ ጥቅምት፣ ህዳር ማለት ነው ። ታዲያ የጸዳው ምንድን ነው ካላችሁ ጭፍግጉ ብርዳማው ደመናማው፣ ጎርፋማው ክረምት ነው የሚጸዳው አየሩ ነው!! መስከረም ማለት የጸሃይ መውጫ ወር ማለት ነው !! ጉራጌ መስቀል ይለዋል! ስለዚህ በትክክል ሻደይ የልጃገረዶች የጸዳይ ባህል ነው ። ጉራጌ አዳብና እንደ ምንለው ማለት ነው። አሸንዳ ምን ማለት እንደ ሆነ አላውቅም ! ባማርኛ አሸንዳ ቧምቧ ማለት ነው ። የምንጭ ዉሃ ወይም ጠበል እንደ ሻወር የምናወርድበት አሸንዳ ቧምቧ ነው ፣
