i have very hard time to say no to coca for young people because that is the only thing they have i no heart to say to them no for coca. instead create alternative such as fruit drink packaging ...

The problem in Ethiopia, the level of health education, consumer awareness and informed health choice is very poor. The reason why companies take flight to less education population but with a growing demography is to find virgin market. As you know the Ethiopian population is largely very young, preponderantly underage. This type of population typical candy consuming population. In countries like Ethiopia, the government is more for the corporation and does not put regulation regarding their sugar/calorie content. In the West there is increasing regulation almost pushing out these manufacturers and encouraging them to substitute with something healthy. A healthy journey starts at infancy and early childhood, otherwise juvenile diabetes, obesity etc. will be rampant. One of the things I noticed a few years after my stay in America is , Ethiopians are too much beer consumers, a habit they took from the አስረሽ ምችው of Addis Ababa lifestyle. Things that started abroad are faster copied by Ethiopians without doing it in moderation. For instance, HIV/AIDs started in the developed world, but it wiped many young people in Ethiopia, developed world practice safe seix, but in Ethiopia it is more of an unsafe practice. So, if you have population with such pattern of behavior keep them away from such poison. You don't completely ban them but limit them. These are the same as cigarette factory. I don't know how old your kids are but let me give you an advice. If you have a daughters, never feed them regular milk, regular hamburger, all kind s of chicken . cat out all sugars all together. Spend few dollars and buy organic milk and grace fed hamburgers. But NO chicken. If not when your daughters reach at the age of 10 to 15, they will be mistaken for full grown women with full grown women's problems. By feeding them organic, you will save them from this devastating disease, breast cancer. Most of you here are talking about artificial problems of the developed world. We are not there yet. Any investment on anything that creates jobs is welcome. We are not in a luxury to reject such a huge investment on the bases of some fancy developed world problems. That would be stupid of us if we do that. Good none of you are advising the government .
