Eritrea should start thinking about building a railway from Massawa to Humera and Beyond

Post by sesame » 30 May 2022, 14:52

It makes great sense to build a railway from Massawa to Asmara, Keren, Agordat, Barentu, Tesseney, Guluj, Um Hajer, Humera, Gonder. It will connect the rich Welkait/Humera and Gash/Barka with the port city of Massawa. The old railway from Asmara to Agordat can be revived with little expense. From Agordat up to Humera, it is flat terrain where rail tracks can be laid with ease. The project will pay for itself as the areas it connects to Massawa are rich farming lands where cotton, sesame, fruits like banana, Mangos and oranges can be cultivated for export to the middle east and beyond. As a bonus, it skirts Agameland with whom Eritrea should have the least contact in the future.

Sesame,
Eritrea has had a plan to do just that. But because of the evil Weyane administration, many projects including this one were placed on hold. By the way, this plan was originally thought to be accomplished by the Italian colonial administration of Eritrea. The plan was to go past Gonder all the way to Addis Ababa. But as luck would have it, the Sunset got on the Italian colonizers when they were defeated by the British and lost Eritrea.

Yes, the line from Massawa to Asmara has been reconstructed in 1994, after the Italian-built railroad rails and sleepers were ripped off and hauled away to help construct military bunkers during the Eritrean independence war. As you know. war is not something to be wished for, for it always destroys things and kills and maims animals including humans.

A highway is not much different to a railroad

Highways have trucks that store exports and imports and deliver it from point A to point B

Railroads have cargos

Here is a Freight Train its for trains that are specifically meant for Cargos and Containers in this nations store large amounts of exports and imports of Goods.

Normal trains have passengers and help connect a country. Eritrea can use railroads as a form of national transportation. Especially Eritrea has 10000 oppurtunities with its Red Sea area you can have Russian Base and Chinese base they will pay you 150 Million Nakfa every year. Then you can develop your country to first class very easily. Internationalism is better then isolationism. This is why eritrean ppl live across z world. So its better to adapt to z reality so every sort of development will be easy like a b c you will get all you want as well its simple

the Kenyan US$1.5 billion railway project become bankrupted even before started because Kenya use imported diesel vs Ethiopian water power...
the Eritrean doesn't have hydro power like Ethiopia and also pollution to provided service .. even for containers then u need city where the service needed you guys talking about connecting village and Gonder which way far way from north port

See this video under my name

Amhara - eritrea highway is open do you see the big bus they come over the river?

A highway is not that different to railway.

All highway need is big bus for transportation and big truck for trading goods

No need for big grand expensive railroad now gondere can start business in asmara and vice versa
