Sorry for those of you who don't understand Afan Oromo but the story is one of the top interesting one.

2. i didn't see any problem with አቦ ፀሐዬ or other building their house and rent out 4 thousand dollar .. for Ethiopians this might look like big money but if u drive taxi in America u can get this money .. 4 thousand is basic salary in most Western country so if አቦ ፀሐዬ goes to America and drive taxi he could have make the same money .. beside the dollar is for us the money enter Ethiopian economy which is good..

3 አቦ ፀሐዬ shopping center 1000 shop keeper rent then they would be benefited why because they don't have 100 million birr to build those building they will be happy to rent form አቦ ፀሐዬ so what is the problem beside jealous

5. what is the advantage of making tplf royal family rich.. simple we need 1% rich people i give u example haile gebrselassie under Amhara rule he might kept poor but TPLF make him rich .. so for haile gebrselassie becoming rich doesn't harm Ethiopian economy the answer is no why because haile gebrselassie invested in car factory, farm and many other investment and created 100,000 job .. so if u give the TPLF Royal family beside peace u get investment and they create job now someone tell me where is the harm.

Look at this video, someone sells a plot of land of around 500 sq. meter for over 40 millions ETH BIRR, in Addis in a broad day light.

The inhabitants of the land were forcefully evicted from the same land before few years, without any sort of compensation, let alone a reasonable amount.

Those people come back to the places and look at what it is worth today and compare their way of life with that of what their land worth is today. You be the judge about the feeling of the affected citizens.

Just remind yourself a 700 sq. meter land in the heart of Addis costs around 95 million ETH BIRR. Do you feel that something must be wrong with that?

what i heard from the video it is only small size land such as 500sq meter, this land used to be given for free for the diaspora to build house.. under Golden regime... let assume this land belong to truth owner and he want to sale and demand 40 million birr, i will be very happey for the land owner or the house owner to get his 40 million birr now he will go to other less populated area and build his house and wait for the next windfall ... now the government benefit when the house owner get 40 million birr because the government get 14 million birr in taxi, this is the first benefit the second benefit the guy who bought the land will not build just one house he will build ten story apartment to recover his investment ...this is only an example i don't even know 500sq meter is good enough to build apartment but regardless those who buy the land forced to build condominium instead of Vila ... this help for better land management//

second now let assume someone come and buy your house for 100,000 birr at market value and you sold the house for that amount because u thought that is the market price and you got the money and you left. one the money transferred hand you no longer own that house or land the house set on it.. the guy who bought the land from you knows the land price going to skyrocketed and bought you out. then after five years wait the new guy got 40 million birr.. for the same house the land set on it that he bought five years ago .. now where is the mistake where is the unfair

do you know because of eminent domain in Addis Ababa so many road and train line stopped for five or seven years because the community refused to move... so how in hell u going to build a nation without eminent domain ..

first i want to comment on the framing of the video ... the head room is way high and make the picture uninteresting when u videotape we want to see people emotion you have to make it closer then that without much head room anyhow i have few video ... i know the video person try to show the property but that could have been in opening shot ... not the whole interview.
