Can somebody explain to me why the word "emye" is used with Emperor Minilik? Isn't "emye" related to "mother" or feminine? That is my limited knowledge of Amharic if "emye" is an Amharic word...

In Ethiopia using a motherly or mother inspired names are used to respect and honor someone or a country. We call Ethiopia Emye from love and respect we have for the country. So Minilk was said to be a kind person and a caring like a mother. For instance, he would let hungry people come to his palace to dine with him from all over the country.
