US HoA envoy, to call it quits

Post by Zmeselo » 13 Apr 2022, 02:21

Several U.S. diplomats, speaking on condition of anonymity, said there is growing frustration that Washington, including the outgoing special envoy, has focused too much attention on Ethiopia at the cost of helping address the political crisis in Sudan.

Huh?

At this rate they will throw away all the pretence & send Rice herself, to represent terrorist TPLF.

They’re not sending their best.

On last month’s episode of “Should I Travel Halfway Across The Planet To Get Vaporized By A Kaliber Missile”: 👇

Add another one to the list of foreign mercenaries, whose promise to fight to the death for the Ukrainian regime didn’t last a single month.

This photo currently circulating on Telegram, purports to show British hired gun Aiden Aslin surrendering to Russian troops.

Note the conspicuous absence of any middle finger pointing towards Vladimir Putin.

What a difference three weeks makes

Putin, on expediting the SO in Ukraine:
I often hear questions if it's possible to be quicker? It is possible......BUT our objective is to achieve all our goals while minimizing casualties. We will act rhythmically, calmly, according to the original plan.

Macron warns of ‘escalation of rhetoric’ after Biden ‘genocide’ comment

BY KELSEY CAROLAN

French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday declined to characterize the Russian military’s actions in Ukraine as genocide, saying that
an escalation of rhetoric
is harmful.

Macron said Wednesday https://www.euronews.com/2022/04/13/fre ... f-genocide that his goal is to
stop this war and rebuild peace
and not use rhetoric like “genocide” to escalate tensions with Russia. However, he called the Kremlin’s actions “war crimes,” following the trend of Western allies.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has used the term genocide before and praised President Biden https://thehill.com/news/administration ... -genocide/ as “a true world leader” for saying the same earlier this week.
Calling things by their name is essential to stand up to evil,
Zelensky tweeted https://twitter.com/ZelenskyyUa?ref_src ... r%5Eauthor Tuesday.

Oleg Nikolenko, a spokesman for the Ukrainian foreign ministry, called Macron’s comments “dissapointing.”
French President Emmanuel Macron’s unwillingness to recognize the genocide of Ukrainians after all the outspoken statements of Russian leadership and criminal actions of Russian military is disappointing,
Nikolenko wrote on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/oleg.nikolenko ... 7029957169

Macron justified his rejection of the term by saying that Ukrainians and Russians are “brothers,” but Nikolenko argued that
brotherly’ people do not kill children, does not shoot civilians, does not rape women, does not cripple elderly people and does not destroy the houses of another ‘brotherly’ people.
Biden’s use of the term came after Russian missiles struck a train station in Ukraine where civilians were hiding, killing at least 57 people, including many children and women.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Biden’s words were unacceptable, according to Reuters.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Macron last spoke on the phone in March did not reach a diplomatic breakthrough. When Macron sat down with Putin face-to-face in February before the invasion, Putin reportedly assured him he would not escalate the Ukraine crisis.

#StopTheTreaty: WHO allows brief feedback on global pandemic treaty

KEEAN BEXTE

https://thecountersignal.com/who-allows ... ic-treaty/

April 12, 2022

The WHO has quietly allowed individual citizens to provide feedback https://worldcouncilforhealth.org/news/ ... aty/66422/ on their proposed global pandemic treaty.

As the Word Council for Health (WCH), our partners and allies have already sought to draw attention to, the World Health Organization (WHO) has proposed a global pandemic agreement that will give it undemocratic rights over sovereign people,
the WCH website states. https://worldcouncilforhealth.org/news/ ... aty/66422/
WHO has quietly opened the floor for comments on the agreement but has provided little time to do so ahead of the first round of hearings scheduled for April 12 and 13.

At the time of writing, the WHO’s website https://worldcouncilforhealth.org/news/ ... aty/66422/ is overwhelmed by people from around the world voicing their disdain over the treaty.

It’s also important to note that the WHO is not asking people if they want a global pandemic treaty https://thecountersignal.com/the-world- ... ns-canada/ — they fully intend to have it in place by 2024 — they’re merely asking what it should include.

As reported by The Counter Signal, the WHO’s drafting of a global pandemic treaty would legally bind https://thecountersignal.com/the-world- ... ns-canada/ member states to the WHO’s International Health Regulations https://thecountersignal.com/canada-tra ... egulation/ and allow the organization to dictate all future pandemic responses.

The WHO began drafting its treaty in December 2021 during a special session https://www.who.int/news/item/01-12-202 ... d-response entitled “The World Together.

The treaty is to be upheld by the WHO’s constitution, which under Article 19
[provides] the World Health Assembly with the authority to adopt conventions or agreements on any matter within WHO’s competence.
[Emphasis added]

This authority was initially designed to pertain only to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control but is being expanded to include dictating Member States’ future pandemic responses.

Additionally, as pointed out by MP Leslyn Lewis, the treaty would also allow the WHO to determine what is a pandemic and when one is occurring, https://thecountersignal.com/leslyn-lew ... ic-treaty/ even over something non-viral like an obesity crises.

This would effectively give the organization the authority to take control of member states’ healthcare systems, whenever they feel necessary.

Overall, the global pandemic treaty would be a crushing blow to the sovereignty of countries like Canada.

The Committee met on March 1 and will meet again in August, to continue drafting the treaty.
