Perhaps one of the most old time effective Christian revival with long lasting impact may have happened in the Axumite Empire in Tigray and present day Eritrea. It
is a known fact that the Axumite Empire was the first one to use the sign of cross in their currency and one of the three nations on the earth to declare Christianity as a state religion. While the early revival in the part of the Roman empire , in the present day Turkey, was extinguished by the invasion of Isalm , the Tigray/ Eritrea christian revival though has stayed stagnant for about 500 years ( from the time the great Christian reformist Aba Estifanos and his followers were persecuated by the then Ethiopian king Zera Yacob), it is expected that Tigray and Eritrea shall be the center and engine of the coming great revival and soul harvest to prepare the world for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
