Exactly a year ago today, our forces defeated the most organized & massive encirclement & siege on our forces by the Ethiopian& Eritrean armies with the routing @#Werqadino of half a dozen Eritrean divisions deployed to capture or wipe out Tigray’s military& civilian leadership.

#Werqadino was one of the most defining engagements in the annals of the Tigray Resistance as it showed #Isaias & his generals their Tigray misadventure was certainly going to cost them more than they could bargain for. With more devastating losses the following days, it soon became obvious that their campaigns would only expose them to more staggering losses. They did also realize the movement they had long declared dead was alive & kicking.

As we mark this day, let it be clear that we won’t stop until the status quo ante is restored and fully!

TDF is now more than ready and will come back as flood, fire and storm, if Abiy fails to give peace a chance. It shall wipe out, burn and uproot any thing that stands against the implementation of its redefined strategy of securing the territorial integrity of Ethiopia by establishing EPRDF2 with its allies. As they say, old habits die hard. It’s to be recalled that the #UN had decided to trigger the movement of aid trucks to #Tigray ostensibly with the agreement of the #Abiy government.

Despite a written order to that effect from the authorities in #Addis To that effect nthing has materialized so far.

We have on our part been doing whatever we can to facilitate passage of aid convoys.The story making rounds is that the Authorities in #Afar are standing in the way of progress. Whatever the veracity of such claims though, the #Abiy government is responsible for the obstruction of the movement of aid trucks.

To the extent that regional authorities might have issues, it’s for the federal authorities to settle. We urge the international community to act resolutely & get the trucks going before we are forced to seek solutions elsewhere.
