Congratulations to Djibouti

Post by AbyssiniaLady » 15 Mar 2022, 17:15

China chose Djibouti as its's trade gateway to Africa due to Djibouti unique geographical location in Africa, From now on African traders will order their products from China to Africa via Djibouti port, All credit goes to the honorable President of Djibouti for actively courting more Chinese investment and closer ties.

Djibouti is at the centre of international shipping lanes connecting Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia and thus shipping lines are able to transship containers into Djibouti without a huge deviation from their routes.

What about to the China cadre Isaias? Self reliance does not need international cooperation? Does Ethiopia influenced the decision and prevented Eritrea from being the sea gateway for China?

The answer to your last question is no, Outdated colonial infrastructure prevent Afar State and Tigre State from becoming China's gateway to Africa, Massawa and Assab’s ports are designed to accommodate the first generation of containerships that global shipbuilding industry have stopped building, The world has moved on since then.

Right now, Massawa and Assab’s ports can only be reached by small early container ships (1956) at high tide, or Arab and African traditional dhows boats, Large ships would run aground.

If there is the will there is a way! Eritrea could build a new infrastructure at the Assab Port. That should not be the reason. Isaias is the obstacle for Eritrea's development !

Chinese Investments in Ethiopia Will be Further Reinforced

Addis Ababa March 16/2022/ENA/ Chinese investment projects in Ethiopia will be further strengthened, Ambassador Zhao Zhiyuan said.

A delegation led by Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Zhao Zhiyuan, held discussion with the Chief Administrator of Amhara Regional State, Yilkal Kefale in Bahirdar today.

On the occasion, the ambassador said currently many Chinese companies are engaged in the region in various investment sectors by allocating huge amount of capital in areas of agriculture, manufacturing, construction and industries, among others.

China understands that Amhara region is one of the regional states in Ethiopia with huge potential for development, Ambassador Zhiyuan noted, affirming the continuation of ongoing investment activities in the region.

The ambassador also urged the regional state to promote the existing investment opportunities by identifying vital development areas.

Chief Administrator of the region, Yilikal Kefale, stated on his part that Amhara and Afar regional states have been facing serious humanitarian and material crisis due to the belligerent acts of terrorist TPLF with a view to dragging Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa region into chaos.

The regional government is undertaking extensive efforts in collaboration with the people of the region to rehabilitate the displaced and rebuild infrastructures destroyed by the group.

Yilikal requested the Chinese government, institutions and investors to provide the necessary support to these efforts by enhancing their investment activities in Ethiopia.

China understands that Amhara region is one of the regional states in Ethiopia with huge potential for development,
What about Somali region, the largest region in Ethiopia by landmass? this is Amhara propaganda.
