Does anyone remember Asrat (the tallest guy in Addis)?

Post by DefendTheTruth » 14 Mar 2022, 16:22

I used to see him while I was in Addis Ababa University, around 4 Kilo /5 Kilo. There was also his companion, who used to accompany him sometimes (?) and possibly the shortest guy. Both were male (unfortunately I am not sure if both are still alive). I am also not sure if we were allowed to meet their female counterparts, but why? How tall is the tallest female in Ethiopia so far, how short is the shortest female?

Now it seems that is changing, thankfully.

This guy, Nagawo, seems to have an acting talent, if he was given the opportunity to develop it.

The case of this sister is also heart breaking, unfortunately.

ጎራው ( Goraw) is not with us.አስራት I am not sure I used to live near አርባ ደረጃ and used to run down the stairs to have a closer look at አስራት. ጎራው the dwarf used to live somewhere around ሽሮ ሜዳ።.

I lived in the same neighborhood lol.

Asrat’s hangout place wasn’t AA university, it was ወክማ , Gorraw lived ሺሰማኒያ area, toward አቧሬ and both used to walk around Arat Kilo, and sit in ጆሊ ባር while surrounded by people; while eat and drink for free all day

I heard both passed away a while back.

RIP to both, if they are no more with us. I remember Asrat was somewhat an easy going guy, I didn't know him personally but I encountered him converse with others.

Goraw (hoping he was the one I am referring to here) was more quite, I think.

I and my mates found back then it was a fun to see them together.

This guy, Nagawo Jima has also a sense of humor in his talks, I can sense that much. Even the lady, despite the fact that she had to spend much of her precious lives in hiding just because of our social bias is easy going and sociable. Nagawo also said he started to hide for the last one year, just because of the comments others make about him.

They may become well known citizens (ambassadors) helping their country in their respective talents/capacities.

I read on the video Nagawo is the tallest male of the whole of Africa, while Shale Worku is the shortest female of the same, perhaps second on the world level, according to the repoter of the video.

Our failures are countless, this innocent man was also discriminated against just for what he is the whole of his life, including the hardhship he went through to find a partner for life. Unfortunate.
