WelQite and its environs historically belong to the province of Tigray. All the woreda and villages bear Tigrina name tag and this is solid evidence that shows as the region once upon a time used to be inhabited by Tigaru before being incorporated into Begemder.

The only claimant argument we hear from Amharas is that the region was part of Begemder/Gondar during Haileselasie's and Menilik's era, but they have never mentioned the status and demography of the region as to what it looked like before Haileselasie and Minelik.

Because Haileselasie and Menilik put the region under the administration of Begemder, and because that was accepted at the time by Tigaru since Amharu are their citizens with whom they share history, religion and culture, that doesn't make the region Amhara or Gondar land for good.

However, Tigaraway now starts showing a tendency of secession just like their cousins Eritrean Tigraways. The Eritrean Tigraway snatched Assab and Dankalia territory and left us with a huge task to bring that back.

Now, we cannot afford our Tigraway to snatch Setitu Humera and to leave, we cannot afford to lose vital territories every twenty years. So, we must support Amharas in every possible way to keep that part of the land as long remained an integral part of Ethiopia.

Worbela Shifta Amhara would be lucky on this one.

Complaining about this and that and opting for secession won't bring you closer to the solution of your dilemma.

You were in power for nearly three-decade and had you done things right as it was supposed to be, you would have not found yourself in the situation you are in now.

The same thing for Cousin Amharu they were in power for over a hundred years, failure to do the right thing when they could do it, look at how it haunts them today at every corner.

I hope the Gobenas in Arat killo learn some lesson from this and save themselves from facing the same fate their predecessors had faced.

Such fake swan songs are disgusting specially when they open their mouth and start blaming the democratic and egalitarian Oromos who saved Mamma Ethiopia over and over again before the Mamma almost got extinct.

It is easy to make lyrics and biblical chants or Mao chants when in practice and on the ground Oromo heroes like Abune Petros (Magarsa Badhaasa) was forced to appear in front of the invading Italian colonial military junta in Finfinne and asked to bless the occupation forces publicly and at gun point.

The holy man defied the colonialists and condemned the invasion of Ethiopia and calling the public to stand up and rise against the enemy and chase them away as soon as possible. Some other none Oromo notables of those days (Italian Gobenas known as Bandas) were in fact carrying water bags for Italian soldiers and leading them all over the corners acting as Italian guides.

For the denouncements and defience of the bishop, the Italian military executed him publicly and violently using the firing squad as if one gun man was not enough. Add to this general Abdisa Aga, who organized Ethiopian and European resistance fighters both in Ethiopia and in Europe and fought the Italian fascist army non stop and all along until the liberation of the occupied Europe and occupied Ethiopia.

These are only the tip of the iceberg when we talk about Oromos saving Mamma Ethiopia because we can add here also all of those Oromo Qeerros & Qarrees who fought the all time overarmed, over fed and arrogant tplf dictatorship, giving their lives and limbs and at last chasing the tplf from power and back to Mekele and in that way cutting short their dreams of 2000 years wishful governance. Whether you believe it or not there is no Ethiopia without the democratic and egalitarian Oromos.

Judas style envy and jealousy can't be the option but working together and sharing proportionally needs to be the way to the prosperity and healthy highway. BINGO!
