Btw, private Real Estates are not intended for those with average salaries in the first place. The developers are targeting people with money or with high salaries like pilots. Your average employee is waiting for years for government condominiums. Most people in Addis with average income do run other businesses like consulting, አየር በአየር, ድለላ etc alongside their regular salaries to survive.

These houses cost 10 to 15 million Birr. A doctor in Addis hospitals probably earns 10 to 15k per month. A Medical Doctor's monthly salary in Ethiopia is now $140; it was $330 about 6 years go in black market exchange rate
