Abiy failed to invest in justice system and rule of law

Post by Tiago » 04 Mar 2022, 14:19

Rule of law refers to a principle of governance in which all persons, institutions and entities, including the State itself, are accountable to laws that are publicly broadcasted, equally enforced and independently adjudicated, and which are consistent with international human rights, norms and standards.

Abiy’s Government failed in investing in justice systems and rule of law and allowing corruption to proliferate in every aspect of our lives that we have a fertile ground prepared for a huge social upheaval.
Just look at the housing crisis in AA that made millions unable to rent or buy house in comparison to the very few who can buy and sell at prices surpassing international cities such as New York and London.surely the Wayne administration is largely responsible to creating the mess, but PP is continuing with the same blueprint failing to recognise the rule of law is the pre-requisite for long term stability and prosperity.
Like Woyane, abiy’s administration is filled with political cadres and ethnocentric individuals while disregarding the inherent advantage held by a trained and experienced expert over the ambitious amateur.

Even now it is not too late for Abiy to reprioritize his focus areas , bring out the country from civil unrest and war and move it in the right direction. We have used the last 4 years in a destructive direction but the next 4 years have to compensate for the loss.
