Sorry if this sounds harsh but I don't think Tamerat is worth defending. He has disregard for the way he talks down people or countries.

For example, his anti Eritrea people rant is pretty shameful. Mind you, I'm not even criticizing his opinion but his absence of respect.

I still don't agree with the jailing of Tamerat. In a way, he reflects the opinions of section of society that is unhealthy for people to people relations.

These "unhealthy" intentions better come out than not. Many pro Tamerat Ethiopians agree the bringing of Eritrea forcefully. This is including Hours, Abere, Sam, TGAA, Noble, Dawi

The difference is they hide it, Tamerat doesn't. They hide it because they think Eritrea can for now be used to help them come to power in Ethiopia. Once they control power, they go to war, this time against Eritrea.

There's nothing wrong with unity but it's wrong if done forcefully. It's not even unity as such. This has failed and history tells us so.

The survey asks if the new trendy buzz word <ገተት>, an addition to Amharic dictionary, could get one arrested. You all of a sudden twisted it and involved Eritrea, because Eritrea is a thorn in the flesh for the TPLF's . Tamirat is not arrested because of his words against Eritrea, he was arrested because he used the word <ገተት>. And I got surprised how such a word can land someone in jail while people like Sebhat Nega who were war criminals captured in the battle field walking free. Also, please don't name individuals and blame everything on them just to earn unnecessary credits from Eritreans, they know and speak for themselves - they don't need your help.

The new Amharic dictionary should include ገተት and give brief explanations as well as examples. It resembles the Amharic word ገታታ ፥ዘገምተኛ(retarded) and a similarity with ዝተት. ዝተት is along matt worn by sphered and in some places it an old bad looking household utensil used to collect animal dung(የከብቶች እበት እና ፍሳሽ መዛቅያ አሮጌ እንቅብ - አዘባ መዛቅያ።). But in the context Tamirat used appears to be more alike ገታታ ፥ዘገምተኛ(retarded).

Tamrat is amazing when it comes to analyzing the situation in Ethiopia. I completely agree with him on his points on Ethiopian Government but i disagree about his comments on Eritrea. He is mostly going out of his own way to say things about Eritrea.

Also why are you trying to subtly put me into a Anti Eritrea box? I dont care about Eritrea independence its a waste of time go get your badme back eden!

By the way urban dictionary is gangster dictionary not standard academic one. I am referring to the Amharic Oxford style dictionary. That is why Amharic is an ever growing language enriching itself with new Amharic words.

I can list them but I am asking you because I want to prove to you that you are not willing and able to go through the process of listing and condemning them. It's a painful process if you, deep inside, agree with his anti people comments.
