Re: Professor Ezekiel Gebissa Amhara elite want power by destroying Tigrai
Wow, this is an earth shaking finding by Ezikiel Gebreselassie
He would have made it more understandable if presented it in his native Tigrigna language; that is how the audience hears and he too is understanding and communicating with the group.
It looks like assmebly of the mad men
Did everyone roll on their back out in the streets after their meeting that the Tigre ritual in America and Europe

Re: Professor Ezekiel Gebissa Amhara elite want power by destroying Tigrai
If I am not mistaken, Professor Ezekiel is struggling to make a point that the Ethiopian State has citizens and “subjects” and has failed to integrate its “subjects” into its citizens; I listened to the presentation once.
When I heard this kind of argument, I was tempted to ask myself immediately if he is still a practicing Christian. I couldn’t second guess it because I haven’t run into another presentation of his where he argued that he is a subject of the Church, of Christianity, and that the Church has failed to integrate him from being a subject into a membership.
So, assuming that he is still a practicing Christian, why does he view the willingness to practice citizenship different from the willingness to practice Christianity or Islam or in other faith institutions. Apparently, his Biblical first name suggests he was at least one.
I have never met a Christian who practices it without professing to love it. So, once again what is it that makes a human being willing to become a loving member or “subject” of a Church and not a loving citizen or “subject” of a State? Sure, there are individual leaders who do wrongs as there are individual priests and pastors who do wrongs.
What is more, is the settlement pattern he lectured about based on what he heard, which would be second hand information, or based on what he learned of his own volition and accord. If it is learned, what does it say about the settlement pattern of the Borana in Ethiopia? Does it prove that the Borana is the father of the Oromo? Would the late Professor Mesfin Woldemariam be wrong if he said that is true? On the count of learning on one’s own volition and accord, the late Professor likely beats him from his grave.
Finally, I have just learned that the root word of the Biblical name Ezekiel means to strengthen. So, instead of thinking a dissolution of a historical and ancient State of over 100 million citizens, why can’t this professor in the 21st century think of his namesake that the peasants of Israel thought millennia ago?
