Zemen, mocking is easy but when the main northern command was massacred and most of ENDF leadership sided with TPLF, we had almost no army that deserve its name. Now things have improved thanks to TPLF's aggression into Amhara and Afar that resulted in millions joining the army and the government highly investing into the army. The army had to be rebuilt from the ground up, with mechanized training, air force etc.
No one can deny the fact that it was the new ENDF that drove out TDF from Northern Showa, Wollo and Afar in two weeks. That shows how much better ENDF has become compared to few months ago but still it needs more time to become a fully formidable force.
We have to take also into consideration the nature of TDF's human wave tactics. It was impossible for less than 100k soldiers to deal with more than half a million TDF human waves. That needed a new kind of huge army that ENDF has now become.
I agree though that the field marshal title was highly exaggerated and unnecessary!

The main point here is for the first time after thirty years an Ethiopian army is in the making. For the last three decades Ethiopia has not had an army which could be called an Ethiopian army. There will be a long way to go for sure. Tribalism in the army cannot be wiped out within short time, but the sign so far is encouraging.

Temari, i understand the horrible position Ethiopia was in. Not only the ENDF was massacred in their on sleep but TPLF talk all the best weapons, i get it. But the people showed their rage and readiness to defend the country and showed up in thousands to training centers. You have FANO who is welling die for their country with pay and volunteering their life, you have thousands of militia, who are extremely poised and ready to nail it to the end. Everything was going good and the people were pushing while the sub-humans running in the record speed. Why stop be before the complete Obliteration? What is even worst is not only Abiy stopped the war prematurely but he destroyed the psychological war militantly of the people before the end the war. For a war to win you need psychological preparedness, a cause and the support of the people and Abiy had all but he sold it for his power and power base. I agree with your take except that you forgot to give credit to Amhara Militias, Fanos warriors and Afar Drones. I would also like to remind you the critical role of Drones aka the nightmare of the selfie obsessed rag tag agame militias. When it comes to promoting General Berhanu Jula to Field Marshal ranking, I think Dr. Abby had to do that so that he could promote other Major Generals to Lieutenant Generals ranking and Lieutenant Generals to General rankings. Other than that I don't see any other reason.

Really ? ENDF might moved its @rz a bit and made drone strikes. But even with that, TPLF could still catch gragn Ahmed Ali if it were not with the heroic and selfless engagement of other local forces (Fano and lyu hyle) in Amhara and the afar ground drones. ካድሬው ልክ እንደ ኦሮሙማ አባ ሌባወች ክሬዲት ትዘርፊያለሽ አደል ?
