The Tigrigna spoken in Eritrea is substandard spoken by slaves

Post by EthioRedSea » 30 Jan 2022, 09:03

Tigrayans from Ethiopia are not aware of their advanced culture. They usually do not care about their ancient history. They try to go along with every one in the area. After this war, Tigrayans of Ethiopia need to redefine who is Tigrayan and what the standard languge of Tigryans should be.

In almost all countries, the language spoken by the king became the language of the country and people they ruled. In Tigray, the nobilty spoke in Tigrigna as spoken in Enderta and Tembien. This is the standard Tigrigna we use in Tigray now as reflected in the newspapers and other mass media. Tigrigna spoken in Eritrea is sub-standard mixed with Saho and other cushitic languages like Beja (Billien). Above all the intonation is not like in Tigray. Tigrigna from Tigray is natural. Children learn and speak it as they want it. Amhara and other children speak the Tigrigna in Tigray in a natural way ( smile when they speak it). There are many common words in Tigrigna and Amharic, thus making Tigrigna of Ethiopia eaier to learn and speak.
