There's no information from either the US side or the Prime minister's office in Ethiopia which suggests the outgoing US envoy Jefferey Feltman pressured PM Abiy into releasing the TPLF prisoners. The fact that the prisoners release was conducted after the TPLF terrorists were routed out of the Afar and the Amhara regions by suffering heavy casualties that rendered them incapacitated, is an indication that the Ethiopian government is in a far better position to start planning for winning the hearts and minds of the Tigray people who are forced to give their children to the TPLF beast that squander them in senseless wars.

This is the first post of Abdisa that I disagree with. If PM Abey wanted to win the hearts and minds of the Tegaru, he should have chased the Weyane criminals into Tigray and incapacitated them through either surrendering or obliteration. Then go after the interest of the Tegaru by providing them what they must have been wanting for the last year, and of course what the central government could afford on a priority number 1.
