Opinions on how the next phase of the war on the terror group TPLF should proceed are split in to two major groups among HOA citizens :
The first group is saying the Ethiopian forces should halt the march to Mekele once the Afar and Amhara regions are cleared off the terror group.
The second group , and I believe is majority of them, are suggesting Ethiopian forces have to follow and exterminate terrorist TPLF once and for all for the HOA to be at peace even if TPLF run back to their usual hideout I.e. Tembien deserts Ethiopian forces should follow them and dig them out.

I am trying to form my own group here that will give an absolute power to the Ethiopian government so that it decides on the best course of action for the country. My reasons: first this government had shown time again that it is composed of a well informed decision makers that the country ever had. Abiy’s government had proven itself beyond any reason doubt, for any sane mind that it is capable/ working to take the country
to a level to decide it’s own fate without western interventions. My second reason is that once we agree with the above statements I.e. once the intentions of the government are clear , those of us who want the country to come out victorious should let the government make decisions without having to deal with internal (Ethiopians) contradictions . I think this government has, unlike its predecessors, enough dedicated intelligence officers spread across the globe to base its decisions. I strongly believe that we have to play only a supportive role (as one front) as it ( the government) is dealing with entire western world.

My opinion is that the ENDF should march in and capture Mekele. But the irregular militias should not enter Tigray proper. With the level of anger against the TPLF at the level that it is, I am afraid that if the Amhara and Afar militias enter Tigray, they may take indiscriminate acts against civilians and infrastructure. But the regular army should certainly pursue the TPLF thugs and either take them in chains or put bullets in their forehead. The TPLF should be erased as if it never existed!

I beg to differ on who should enter and capture Mekele. It will be very difficult for ENDF to enter Mekelle unless Amhara Fano force are involved. FANO is a trailblazer and have the gut to take TPLF rag tag on head which has made easy for ENDF to follow. More importantly, FANOs are not only sharp point blank shooters but also are principled, fight with disciple having high moral regard. Without FANO don't even imagine Mekelle falling into the Ethiopian side. FANO has the stamina, courage, diligence and war ethics at the same level or better than conventional salaried army, because they have purpose that brought them out of their tukuls on volution. It is proved over and over again, TPLF rag-tags FEAR, First, FANO ;and second Drone (Belaynesh Amede).

So the whole point is while the government is tackling a multitude of challenges expertly and winning each of them surely, why don’t the rest of us , especially “YouTuber ነጋዴሥ"
and some other critics play a positive role or keep your mouth shut !

A government that does not have control on all it governs is not incontrol at all. If Abbiy does not take over Tigray, then he will lose in the long run. Even if he takes over, it is not going to be easy. Guerilla fighters alway prepail. Time favors their victory. However, if Abbiy is the leader of Ethiopia, he should be the leader of Tigrayans as well. That means, civilian protection needs to be his priority.

I am sorry... but I have to agree with brother Abere as to who should enter and capture Mekelle even though I also believe that only ENDF is more than capable to do so. The main reason I have to agree with brother Abere is that ENDF would not need Eritrean Defense Forces if Fano and Amhara militias get the green light to capture Mekelle and the rest of Tigray.

Remember, the Fano warriors have the responsibility not only to retrieve the stolen wealth of the Amhara people but also to punish the selfie obsessed agame rat tag militias who killed thousands Amhara youth, raped Amhara women and looted and destroyed hundreds of billions of Birr worth of Amhara wealth.

Yes, I definitely support for the ENDF, Amhara militia, Fano warriors and Afar militia warriors to enter and capture Mekelle and the rest of Tigray.

I know you are alergic to Tigrayans. The point is time and time again, guerilla fighters won even against super powers. Have you been paying stiuation in Afganistan. Both superpowers lost against the rag tag boys of Afganistan. Thirty years ago, both EPLF and TPLF defeated your mighty Dergue with the support of USSR on its back.
