This war would give sense if the hideout's of tplf (aka tembien desert) is burnt to hell and tplf will never back to walk again. Short of that mean another conspiracy to kill civilians of the neighboring regions. Hope all kinds of Ethiopian forces are into destroying tplf for once and for all.

Nothing short of this will make sense. It becomes victory if the end goal is to eliminate TPLF. If left untouched in Meqelle, then TPLF will quickly recover and certainly will be lethal to Ethiopia and Abiy Ahmed will not get support of the type he has been enjoying. He had better do the job finished or else they will finish him, if they come for a second time. Because if he makes a deal blindsiding Ethiopians or just end up doing a mediocre job out of some conspirator scheme, deficit if trust will be the cause of his downfall. Let his supporters articulate to him this reality.
