The US Administration has declared seemingly new, unwarranted, “sanctions” on Eritrea as a continuation of its misguided and hostile policy.

This unilateral sanction, that shifts blame to and scapegoats Eritrea on the basis of spurious allegations, is in contravention of international law, and constitutes a flagrant breach of the sovereignty, independence and liberation of peoples and nations.

Its transparent aim is to obstruct enduring solutions that promote sustainable stability in the Horn of Africa in general and Ethiopia in particular and to stoke and perpetuate a vicious cycle of chaos that it will then manage.

The cynical act is rationalized through the fabrication of baseless allegations, amplified incessantly, by pliable media outlets. Sadly, the disingenuous pattern invariably revolves around leveling bogus and unilateral accusations that are corroborated by paid and coached “witnesses” to rationalize and impose unlawful sanctions.

That the primary aim of the illicit and immoral sanctions is to inculcate suffering and starvation on the population, so as to induce political unrest and instability is patently clear. But adding insult to injury, its architects unabashedly maintain that,

the sanctions are not aimed at harming the Eritrean people.

No one can really be deceived by these crocodile tears.

The people and Government of Eritrea deplore, in letter and spirit, the illicit and unilateral “sanctions’’. They urge all peace and justice loving, sovereign and independent peoples and forces, to lend their support to Eritrea.

ምምሕዳር ስርዓት ኣሜሪካ፡ ከም መቐጸልታ ዝምቡዕ ተጻባኢ ፖሊሲታቱ፡ ሓድሽ ዝመስል ዓላቚ “እገዳ” ኣዊጁ’ሎ።

ኣብ ቀርኒ ኣፍሪቃ ብሓፈሻ፡ ኣብ ኢትዮጵያ ኸኣ ብፍሉይ፡ ዘላቒ (sustainable) ርግኣት ዝፈጥር መሰረታዊ ፍታሕ ንኸይወሓስ፡ ቀጻሊ/ዝተናውሐ ናይ ህውከት (chaos) ሕሱም-ሸንኰለል ንምምሕዳር፡ ንኤርትራ ብጠቐነ ግዳይ/ገንሸል ንምግባር ዝዓለመ፣ ኣህጉራዊ ሕጊ ዝረግጽ፣ ልዑላዊነትን ናጽነትን ሓርነትን ህዝብታትን ሃገራትን ዝግህስ – በይናዊ እገዳ’ዩ።

ነዚ ዓለቚ ንምዕብላዂ፡ ኣፋፍኖት ሓቂ ዘይብሉ ጠቐነታት እናፈብረኽካ፣ ብናይ ሓሶት መናፍሕ እናጋዋሕካ፣ በይናዊ ክሲ መስሪትካ፣ ብዕዱጋት መሰኻኽርካ ክዉን ጌርካ “እገዳ” ምብያን፡ ኣረብራቢ ሕሱር ሕላገት’ቲ ኣሽካዕላል’ዩ።

“ኣብ ርእሲ ማህረምቲ ጸርፊ” ከምዝበሃል ግን፡ ህዝቢ ኣሳቒኻን ኣጥሚኻን፡ ናዕቢ ንምብግጋስ ዘይሕጋውን ኢሞራላውን “እገዳ” እናበየንካ፡

እገዳና፡ ንህዝቢ ኤርትራ ንምህሳይ ኣይኰነን

ዝብል ምምጽዳቕን “ንብዓት ሓርገጽን”፡ ንዝዀነ የዋህ ዝምስጥ ወይ ዘጋጊ ኪኸውን ኣይክእልን።

ኣብ’ዚ እዋን’ዚ፡ ኣብ መላእ ዓለም ብኮሮና ቫይራስ ናይ ዝተለኽፉ ሰባት ጠቕላላ ብዝሒ ኣስታት 253 ሚልዮን፣ ናይ ዝሞቱ ሰባት ድማ ናብ ልዕሊ 5 ሚልዮን ዓሪጉ ኣሎ። እዚ ዘስደምም ኣሃዛት’ዚ፡ ምስ ኣብ ውሽጢ ዝሓለፈ ዓመት’ውን እንደገና ብዘሻቕል ናህሪ ዝወሰኸ ቁጽሪ ሞት ክነጻጽር እንከሎ፡ ንሓደገኛነት ናይ’ቲ ቫይረስን በብእዋኑ ዝጫጭሑ ዘለዉ ብኣልፋ፡ ቤታ፡ ጋማን ደልታን ዝተሰምዩ ሓደስቲ ጅራቱን ዘጉልሕ እዩ።

ኣብ ኤርትራ፡ ለበዳ ኮሮና ቫይራስ ንምግታእ፡ ንቕሓት ሕብረተሰብ ዝተሓወሶ ተሪርን ሰፊሕን ናይ ምክልኻል ስጒምቲ ብኣጋ ሳላ ዝተወስደ፡ ዋላ’ኳ እቲ መጠን መልከፍቲ፡ ምስ ግዜ፡ ክብ ለጠቕ ዝብል እንተዀነ፡ ዝርግሔኡ፡ ብኹሉ ዓለማውን ዞባውን መለክዒታት፡ ኣዝዩ ትሑት’ዩ ጸኒሑ ክበሃል ይከኣል። ካብ’ቲ ዛጊት ዝተመዝገበ 7 ሽሕ መጠን መልከፍቲ፡ እቶም 97 ሚእታዊት ሓውዮም ክፋነዉ ከለዉ፡ መጠን ሞት ብገምጋም ትሕቲ 0.7 ሚእታዊት’ዩ ዘሎ። በዚ ድማ፡ ሳላ’ቲ ዝተወስደ ዕቱብ ስጉምቲ፡ ህዝብና ካብ መቕዘፍቲ ክድሕን ተኻኢሉ ኣሎ።

እዚ ዘሕብን ውጽኢት’ዚ ዘላቕነት ዝረክብ ግን፡ ኩሎም ዝወጹ ቅጥዕታት ብምልኣትን ብቐጻልነትን ምስ ዝትግበሩ ጥራይ እዩ።

ኣብ ሃገርና ድማ፡ ምስ ምፍዃስን ምልዓልን ጸኒዑም ዝጸንሑ ሕጋጋት፡ ዜጋታትን ትካላትን ንመምርሒታት ምክልኻል ኮሮና ቫይራስ በብቕሩብ ሸለል ክብልዎን ክጥሕስዎን ይርኣዩ ስለዘለዉ፡ ኣብ’ዚ መወዳእታ እዋን ዘሰክፍ ኩነታት መልከፍቲ ይኽሰት ከምዘሎ፡ ዕለታዊ ጸብጻባት ሃገራዊ ላቦራቶሪ የመልክቱ። ከም ኣብነት፡ ኣብ ዝሓለፈ ወርሒ ጥቅምቲ ብገምጋም 4 ዝነበረ ዕለታዊ መጠን መልከፍቲ፡ ኣብ ወርሒ ሕዳር፡ ኣብ ብዙሕ ክፋላት ሃገርና፡ 20ን ልዕሊኡን በጺሑ’ሎ። ሓሙሽተ ዕጽፊ ምዃኑ’ዩ። ኣዝዩ ዘሰክፍ ደወል!

ነዚ ተርእዮ ዝያዳ ኣስጋኢ ዝገብሮ፡ እቲ መልከፍቲ፡ ካብ መወሸቢ ማእከላት ንላዕሊ፡ ኣብ መመርመሪ ማእከላት ይርከብ ምህላዉ’ዩ። እዚ፡ ኣማቲ ናይ ዝበጋገስ ዘሎ ኣሰካፊ ዝርግሔ ናይ’ቲ ለበዳ’ዩ።

ኮሮና ቫይራስ ኣብ ዝሑል ክሊማ – ኣብ ኣየርን ካልኦት መተሓላልፍትን ብተዛማዲ ንነዊሕ ሰዓታት ወይ መዓልታት ስለዝጸንሕ – ብፍላይ ኣብ’ዚ ኣቲናዮ ዘሎና ናይ ቀውዕን ሓጋይን ወቕቲታት (ካብ መስከረም ክሳብ የካቲት) ኣዝዩ ልዑል ጥንቃቐታት ክንገብር ንቕሰብ። ተመክሮ ናይተን በቲ ቫይረስ ዝያዳ ዝተጠቕዓ ሃገራት ምስ እንዕዘብ፡ ኣብ እዋን ዛሕሊ፡ እኹል ኣየር ኣብ ዘይብሉ ዕጹው ቦታ ዝግበር ምትእኽኻባትን ንጥፈታትን፡ ዝያዳ ካልእ እዋን፡ ንመለከፍቲን ለበዳን ናይ’ቲ ቫይረስ ዘራብሕ ባእታ ስለዝኾነ።

ምእንት’ዚ፡ ዝስዕርሩ ዘሎው ቀንዲ ጠንቅታት፡ ማለት፡ ሸለልትነት ኣብ ምጥቃም መሸፈኒ ኣፍን ኣፍንጫን ‘ማስክ’፣ ዘይምኽባር ዝወጹ ቅጥዕታት ኣብ ትካላት ወሃብቲ ኣገልግሎት፣ ኣብ መርዓ፡ ቀብሪ፡ ሓዘን፡ ንግደትን ካልኦት ማሕበራዊ ኣጋጣሚታትን፡ ኣብ ኣብያተ-እምነት ዝርአ ጻዕቂ ተሳተፍቲ፣ ኣብ ዕዳጋታትን ወሃብቲ ኣገልግሎት ትካላትን ዝርአ ጠገለ ዝሰኣነ ንቕጥዕታት ኣካላዊ ምርሕሓቕ ዝጥሕስ ምትእኽኻባት፣ ከምኡ’ውን ልዕሊ’ቲ ዝተወሰነ ቁጽሪ ተሳፈርቲ ኣብ ኣገልግሎት ህዝባዊ መጓዓዝያ ክወገዱ ይግባእ።

ከም’ቲ ኣብ ሓያሎ ሃገራት፡ እቲ ለበዳ ስለዝነሃረ ዝርአ ዘሎ ሸበድበድን ዳግመ ምጽናዕ ተላዒሉ ዝጸንሐ ተሪር ስጒምቲታትን ንምውጋድ እምበኣር፡ ዜጋታት ብ6 ሰነ 2021 ንዝወጸ መምርሒ ብዕቱብ ከተግብሩ ይግባእ። ንምዝኽኻር፦

• ኩሎም ክውንዘፉ ዘይክእሉ ማሕበራዊ ኣጋጣሚታት – መርዓ፡ ሓዘንን ጥምቀት ወይ ስማያ -ብኣዝዩ ውሑድ ቁጽሪ፡ ካብ 40 ዘይበዝሑ፡ ብዝከኣል መጠን’ውን ካብዚ ብዝወሓደ ተሳትፎ፡ ይካየዱ። ዳስ ምስራሕ ኰነ ኣዳራሻት ምጥቃም ወይ ምክራይ ክልኩል’ዩ።
• ኣብ ኣብያተ-እምነት ዝግበር ስነ-ስርዓት’ውን፡ ብኣዝዩ ቅርጥው ተሳትፎን ንናይ ምክልኻል ቅጥዕታት ብምልኣት ብዘተግብርን ኣገባብ ክፍጸም ይግባእ።
• ኣብ ከተማታትን ገጠራትን፡ ኣብ ኩሉ ንጥፈታት ማስክ ምጥቃም ግዴታ’ዩ። ኣካላዊ ምርሕሓቕ፣ ከምኡ’ውን ጽሬት ኣእዳውን ምምካን ኣቚሑን ብጥብቂ ክዝውተር ይግባእ።
• ኣብ ወሃብቲ ኣገልግሎት ትካላትን ኣገልግሎት ህዝባዊ መጓዓዝያን፡ ኣካላዊ ርሕቀት ምሕላውን መነጻጽሂ ምጥቃምን ግዴታ’ዩ።

ነዚ ሕጋጋት’ዚ ኣብ ልዕሊ ዝጥሕሱ ወገናት፡ ተሪር መቕጻዕቲ ክብየን፣ ኣብ ልዕሊ’ተን ቅጥዕታት ዘየኽበራ ትካላት ድማ ናይ ምዕጻው ስጒምቲ ክውሰድ ምዃኑ ደጊምና ንሕብር። ዕቱብ ምኽባር እተጠቕሱ ሕጋጋት፡ ሳልሳይን ብዙሕ ሃሳዪ ጎድንታት ዘስዕብን ተሪር ከፊላዊ ናይ ምርጋጥ ስጉምቲታ ካብ ምውሳድ ስለዘድሕን።

The Americans are frustrated by the failure of their otherwise often successful wicked plans to other third world countries.

In their plan, it was taken for granted that TPLF would be in control of Humera and surrounding Amhara territories. That is the reason why they went into overdrive to change their policies they had with Sudan. That is also the reason why despite what has happened in Sudan. They choose to keep their mouth shut probably in the hope to see Woyane back again in the future.

What I find to be difficult is, the reaction of the Ethiopian government. I know there is lack of experience and all. But, should know, having strong reaction to their blabbering is essential to avoid more enduring and risky attempts. As we all know, being accommodating is always an invitation for more aggressive attempts and acknowledgement of weakness. Even worse, they will in anyway do what they had planned to do to begin with so talking straight and standing by your own feet is always preferable option for survival.

Another good question that come to mind is also, the timing of the sanction. What transpaired them to come with such kind of decision at this particular time. It will also be interesting to learn the ethiopian government's latest reaction.

Gen Belay addressed questions raised in connection with looted properties and assured the people of Tigray that the properties looted by Ethiopians can’t go anywhere as it is in our country and it must be returned.” However, he said that, “But what has been given to Eritrean soldiers/ aliens ባዕድ / ባዕዳዊ is another matter, as I said before, it is another matter.” He has called Eritrean soldiers ባዕድ / ባዕዳዊ although it is because of them he is still in Mekelle. He assured them his army would never loot the people's property, “because we know you are our people anytime”. I remember Dr Abey rhetorically asked his Parliament, “If Eritrean was not there for us, where would we be now?”

Eritrean army is killing innocent Tigrayans at this very moment in Tigray in contravention of UN charters. Its presence in Tigray is unlawful, uninvited and criminal.

To cross an international border can only be done under self defense or consent of the host country. Otherwise, it is considered unlawful. It would have severe consequences. The only way we can mitigate that is if PM Abiy Ahmed tell the world that he invited the Eritrean army, I hope Moxie or MM come up with a fitting adage to make the position of PM Abiy clear. Eritrea, if concerned of security [which is a lie], then it only needs to move to reinforce the border area. In other words, countries do that all the time, they move troops to the border areas of their territory.

Axum, Adwa, Adigrat, Meqelle ... are not border areas. I know some Eritreans (on both sides) are assuming that their untoward sentiments against Tigrayans is somewhat justification of committing violence and distraction against them in this scale. This is not a valid war for Eritrea. Eritrea's very presence in Tigray is a dangerous violation of UN charters, this will have serious ramifications for the country in the times ahead. The massacres, lootings, rapes and the rest are in addition to the basic offense of invading Tigray. If PMAA says he invited the Eritrean troops however, that changes everything and he takes all responsibility.

It seems that the punishments for invading Tigray have began. The full future ramifications of Isaias's adventurism in Tigray are still unknown.
