Framing The Tigray Problem

Post by Horus » 06 Nov 2021, 16:38

Why is it that Tigrays are unable to solve their problem? Why is Tigray in decades of continuous problem - wars, rebellion, banditry, drought, famine, hate, anger, and others. Why is it that these people are incapable of solving their problems, problems that are common to other people? I have one answer and here it is. This is also a critical advice to western backer of TPLF.

First and foremost, stop seeing the Tigray problem as a political, economic, and/or development problem. None of these are Tigray problems. All and any framing of the Tigray situation as a political problem will collapse and is useless; all framing of the Tigray situation as an economic problem will collapse. Tigray doesn't have a development problem. The west is wasting food and resources trying to solve the Tigray problem as an economic issue all in vain.

Any intelligent being that is interested in solving the Tigray situation must Frame the Tigray problem as Psychological and/or as Cultural problem. I will not waste time on details. I am simply proposing this perhaps only solution to the seemingly intractable problem: THE TIGRAY PROBLEM IS A PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEM. THE TIGRAY PROBLEM IS A CULTURAL PROBLEM. People can approach these complex issues at individual psychological, social psychological and/or cultural levels of analysis.

The Tigray habit of violence and war are not consequences of political, economic and/or development problems. The Tigray habit of violence and war are consequences of the psychological and cultural problems of Tigrays, Ditto!

This is also one main reason why America lost Ethiopia. For example, currently, there is not one serious Ethiopian expert on Ethiopia that can provide accurate knowledge and policy direction. This is called ignorance driven American policy. The consequence of such knowledge vacuum policy and behavior is not framing the Tigray problem accurately.

Imagine, had Americans framed the Tigray problem as a psychological and cultural crisis of Tigray society, the solution US/EU trying to push could have been different and effective. What is driving the Tigray motivation is entirely different from Western understanding.

Sure, may be US doesn't care if Tigrays waste their lives on false frame as long as it gets a proxy clients that can carry its waters.

Dear Horus,
You framed the problem very accurately. That is why you don't find reasonable and rational individuals among current generation of Tigraians. They act like a herd throwing themselves in harms way without regard to the consequence of their actions.

One forumer on this forum brought an interesting study by a certain C. Murray (the detail of which I cannot find), postulating the theory that inscest has affected IQ of successive generations of Tigrayans. One wonders why rampant rape and incest is more prevalent among Tigrians.

May God heal theem!

Lovetarik,
Yes, Rape, incest, older men taking away virginity of young girls other sexual behaviors are all rooted in the history, culture and social psychology of the people who practice it. My knowledge of the neurological basis of such mating or sexual behavior is limited. But I know there is a culture of older men taking away virginity of girls in Tigray. Incest culture is probably a behavior Tigrays took from some middle east cultures including ancient Egypt. Rape of woman of course is a nasty and clear case of the disempowerment and degradation of women. It goes directly into the human value system in Tigray culture. And, there is a reason why rape is such a wide spread behavior in Tigray; it is the consequence what I have listed above. The collapsed religion, the corrupted culture and the pathological social psychology are the fertile soil and the cosmic soup in which these kinds of dehumanizing, cruel and unjust attacks grow and are practiced on powerless women. America should stop feeding these sick culture and let the people find a way to find their own solution and healing. When people use words like sickness, cancer, virus, weed, disease, they are not far from the reality in Tigray.

Europeans must continue their political and economic relations with Ethiopia because the Tigray problem is not political or economic problem. Tigrays need to fix their psychology and culture. That is it!
