It is very clear that the Ethiopian government would throw Eritrea under the bus whenever it is under massive pressure from the West. We have seen it before and it could happen again. We need to take a lesson from the past.
In my opinion, there are two things we need to consider.

1. It is almost impossible for TPLF to snatch power back from PP and govern the country from AA. Back in 2018 when TPLF had the military, economy and security under its control it was chased back to Planet Motel in Mekele by angry stone throwing Kero protesters. In 2021 what makes you think that a weak TPLF group can sit in Minilik Palace beating its chest especially when the heinous crimes (Northen command massacre, genocide in Maikadra etc) are fresh in people's minds.
2. Back in November 2020 TPLF was armed with sophisticated weapons (missiles that can hit a target as far as 300 miles away) that were snatched from the Northen Command. The Eritrean army was able to crush the TPLF army within 17 days. How is it possible now for theTPLF to regain that strength and engage Eritrea in an all out war?

TPLF can make Ethiopia ungovernable but it won't regain power back from PP. TPLF can be a nuisances in the region but it can not dare and afford to threaten Eritrea.

There is no need for Eritrea to send its troops to support Ethiopia. First and for most, we are not 110m people and we cannot keep on sacrificing our soldiers for a group that cannot stand its ground when the going gets tough. I think, it's a question of timing.

If you know that someone sooner or later is gonna attack you it's wise, in my view, to cripple them beyond repair in advance.
