If Dessie may fall, then the first next step should be demolishing the so called FANO
Fano should be told to take its fate into its own hands, it has a duty of safeguarding the safety of the community it is raised from, else there is no meaning for its existence.
If it fails to fend off the enemy on the front, then there is no excuse why it is not able to clear the internal fake nationalists and infiltraters helping the enemy side?

DTT, I disagree. Fano is helping. But the major force that should defend any part of Ethiopia including Dessie is the Federal government. Do not fall for the propaganda war. I think TPLF is going for broke. My guess is they are losing badly, and the end is close.
Just count the number of times Dessie has fallen to TPLF based on their own news. Probably a dozen times. It is still I believe the news is intended for world consumption.
Here is what happened : Baghdad Bob informed associated press, and they put it in print. Most probably it will be pulled out when confirmed it is a lie. The Ethiopian government probably now ridicules associated press.

So you haven't seen this:

A statement released on October 29 after a daylong consultation in #BahirDar, the capital of #Amhara regional state, by members of the national federal and regional states law enforcement forum said that “the TPLF’s mission to destroy the country [Ethiopia] cannot be undone and buried by formal military means alone,” and that it was “necessary to mobilize and make the entire people of Ethiopia to own the struggle for the very existence of the country.”
The forum, which included Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Demeke Mekonnen, as well as senior federal regional authorities including members of the security, held a daylong meeting in Bahir Dar on October 29 to discuss the current trajectory of the security situation in the country.

That is a true statement. Winning TPLF militarily is not a big deal. It is the politics that it spread for almost half a century in the country, the we versus them politics, that should be buried for once and for all. That takes time. Even after TPLF is gone for good its ideology will persist. Those who make a living by agitating Ethiopians against Ethiopians will not evaporate overnight.

TGAA,
how do you manage to post 2 enties within a minute, I can't post a second before a 10 min. gap, could it be that Elias Kifle is making a favor for you as ...? just joking.
I am not blaming this or that, but simply trying to state the duty of everybody and put it in context. We were told that Fano was created to defend the wellbeing of the Amhara people and thereby by extension also that of the Ethiopian people, because without Amhara there is no Ethiopia, and vice versa, as it is also the same with all the other communities in the country.
We were told that Fano was moving from every part of the Amhara region to defend Dessie just yesterday, we were also told, despite by the woyane mouth pieces, that Dessie has fallen. Had it been true that Dessie was indeed fallen to TPLF, do you think that this preposition was out of nothing?
If it gives Dessie today, then what is the guarantee that it will not do the same with Bahirdar tomorrow? And the same question could be asked for all the rest of the cities of Amhara region.
It is also reported that the woyane thugs are advancing sofar just by using saboteurs from within, and the next question is why is an entity not able to clear itself from such elements while the country is facing such a massive challenge to its existence?
If you think this war is just about Abiy or Amhara, then you have already lost the main point, I think.

Defend the lie,
It is not Fano's responsibility to defend the amhara lands unless the amharas declare independence. The responsibility squarely lies on the federal or national government to enforce law and order primarily. BTW, you should have expected this. Guerilla fighters are like parasites. They demolish the whole system if given the chance. Can't you learn something from Afghanistan or anywhere else.

For a smart person like you , your reasoning is very strange. Do you want to demolish the whole army and the Fano because you suspect that suboteurs are operating from their midst ? For your information Fano is doing a good job with limited resources, many with their own weapons and ammunitions.DefendTheTruth wrote: ↑30 Oct 2021, 12:11TGAA,

The real saboteurs are some among the Amhara elite in Addis who have always created a big problem for Ethiopia and our region, always making a lot of noise and unable to stay in their place.

I am just proposing that the entity executes its duty properly and be made effective. Question is if Dessie has fallen, then there is no guarantee that other cities will not follow the suite, is there?
We were expecting the liberation of already fallen cities (woldiya, Lallibela etc.), not the additional fall of other cities.
If this is a blame, then there is also one for the national army. All need to clear themselves of saboteurs. This is a matter of our fate as a nation.

I understand your anger and agree with your conclusion. The saboteurs have to be dealt with properly. Many of them are from the Amhara elite in Addis. We can not accuse the Tigrayans in Ethiopia for being saboteurs because that is their job.
