Co-Chairs, Excellencies,

I bring to this important 60th Anniversary Commemorative Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement, the greetings of the people and government of Eritrea and of President Isaias Afwerki.

Excellencies,

The Non-Aligned Movement was born at a critical juncture in history, a period of hope, enthusiasm, and vibrant energy. It embodied the profound aspirations of the peoples of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, South America, the Pacific, and other regions of the world for self-determination, for genuine sovereignty and territorial integrity, for independent paths to political, economic, and social development, for equitable and just world order. It was a visionary movement that crystallized the determination of these nations and their towering leaders to seize their own destiny into their own hands, to free themselves from colonial, neo-colonial, and imperialist subjugation, to resist and fight unwarranted intervention in their affairs. It sought to build humane societies, with people at the center of development.

Much has been achieved by the Non-Aligned Movement and its constituent nations over the past six decades. Yet, it is glaringly clear, that the Mission Has Not Been Accomplished. The principles of Bandung are routinely flouted, our world more unequal and unjust than ever. In this light, we the peoples and countries of NAM need to rededicate ourselves to its vital principles and lofty goals, which remain highly relevant today. We need to strengthen the unity of our ranks and act in concert, in pursuit of our common vital interests and the cause of human survival and advancement. We need to go further and develop effective organizational mechanisms, that will enable us to address the myriad challenges that we face and benefit from the vast opportunities that are available to us.

Excellencies,

The world is undergoing, profound change and transformation. A historic breakthrough is possible. It will not be easy, as our project will be resisted and fought tooth and nail by the privileged beneficiaries of the current unjust system. But, it can be done. We now have a critical mass of capabilities- a powerful blend of natural, human and cultural capabilities. We owe it to our people and our coming generations to make it happen. Let’s seize this historical moment. Let’s make Belgrade 2021, this 60th Commemoration, mark the relaunching and revitalization of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Alexander Isak sends Mikel Arteta transfer message as Arsenal reminded why to sign £60m striker

Isak fired Sweden to glory with a Zlatan-esque piledriver as the Arsenal transfer target reminded Arteta what he can bring to the Emirates

Alexander Isak scored a wonder goal on Saturday night

Arsenal transfer target Alexander Isak continues to fulfil his seismic potential as the 22-year-old follows in the hallowed footsteps of his predecessor, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Isak fired his country to victory with an incredible long-range effort in Sweden's three-goal demolition of Kosovo on Saturday night, reminding Mikel Arteta of his worth following a summer of ongoing links tying the striker to the Gunners.

The Real Sociedad talisman ensured that the Swedes sustained their silver medal position in Group B of the World Cup qualifiers and now sit just one point adrift of leaders Spain.

Isak's spectacular strike marked just his third goal of the season for club and country after enduring a fairly slow start following Euro 2020.

Despite this, the striker's thunderous effort was more than enough to refresh Arteta's https://www.football.london/all-about/mikel-arteta memory on what he could bring to the Emirates should a move materialise, adding a fourth dimension to the Spaniard's attack.

The Athletic https://theathletic.com/2638584/?source=twitteruk reported earlier in the summer that the Gunners were 'keeping tabs' on Isak ahead of a potential move and that Edu is a big admirer of the young striker.

The report suggested that the frontman may have been high on Edu's wishlist but Arsenal https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/ had striker transfer issues of their own.

Edu failed to generate cash by selling the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette, something which likely had an impact on their pursuit of the youngster.

According to Spanish outlet AS, https://as.com/futbol/2021/06/23/primer ... autoplay=1 Isak has a €70 million (£59.8 million) release clause in his contract at the Reale Arena and Real Sociedad will 'refuse to negotiate' unless the clause in his deal is triggered, as they look to retain the services of their prized asset whose contract expires in 2026.

However, despite the figure seeming an unreasonable one for Arsenal to meet right now, various clubs have emerged as potential suitors for Lacazette https://www.football.london/all-about/a ... -lacazette in January.

football.london understands that the France international has no intention of extending his stay at Arsenal once his contract expires at the end of the season, so a January move would ensure the Gunners don't miss out on a cash sum.

According to The Sun, the north London side were willing to let Lacazette go for £15 million in the summer, but with foreign clubs now in the power position over negotiations, Arsenal could easily be left with no choice but to sell for less than said evaluation.

ESPN https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-tran ... es-sources have claimed that Atletico Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan and Sevilla are all interested in the 30-year-old striker, meaning Arsenal may be able to tempt clubs into a bidding war to recuperate some of the £46.5 million paid in 2017, while also reigniting their interest in Isak.

Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Alexander Isak goal

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to insist that the Gunners must do all they can to sign Alexander Isak after his stunning goal for Sweden on Saturday.

Isak helped his country to a 3-0 win over Kosovo on Saturday. They now sit second in their group, just one point behind Spain. Crucially, they also have a game in hand over Luis Enrique’s men.

And with Isak in their ranks, they have every chance of going on and winning their group.

The striker scored an unbelievable effort for his eighth goal for his country. He received the ball out wide on the left.

He proceeded to nutmeg an onrushing opponent as he cut inside onto his right foot. And the Real Sociedad man went on to unleash a stunning curling effort into the top corner.

Unsurprisingly, fans were raving about Isak on social media following the game. And for many Arsenal supporters, it was proof that the Gunners need to make a move in the near future.

Football London journalist Chris Wheatley recently claimed https://tbrfootball.com/journalist-sugg ... nder-isak/ that there is ‘certainly interest’ in Isak from Arsenal.

He is actually yet to open his account in La Liga this season. But his strike in Saturday’s win highlights just how much quality he possesses.

‘Every time I think I can’t rate Alexander Isak any higher’: Arsenal fans blown away by striker’s goal

It also came after a season in which he scored 17 times in the Spanish top flight. So he has certainly proved that he has the ability to score in high quantities.

With that in mind, here is what some of the Arsenal fans made of Isak’s latest goal…

Photovoltaics on the roofs, in Asmara. It is now more important than ever to supply buildings with electricity, independent of the power grid. The expansion of a variety of renewable energy sources, especially solar energy, must be approached energetically!
