First, there is a huge gap between 30% and 5%. So, don’t even think about lining up your chigarland next to Amhara & Oromo. Second, you have made Chigarland the most irrelevant region in Ethiopia. It doesn’t matter at this point whether you exist or not. That’s why you are confused and don’t really know what you want. If you surrender, you lose. If you become independent, you also lose. It is a lose-lose situation, isn’t it? And that sounds like a curse. Third, you have been subsidized by all other regions since inception and consume 10 times more than what you produce. This is without taking USAID into account. It sounds like we are talking about some sort of grasshopper who consumes way more, in proportion to body size, than any other livestock.
