A high-ranking security source confirmed to Al-Rakoba website that the intelligence service, in cooperation with a neighboring country, fabricated a terrorist organization under the name “The Responsible Movement for Preaching and Combat; Sudan State”; Show it as a pro-Iranian organization in order to gain more support and sympathy from the international community and the Gulf countries.
The source explained that the step comes after the failure and disclosure of the unconventional coup tactic that the military component tried during the past few days. Adding that the military side is now trying to test the scarecrow of terrorism as a new card to put pressure on the Sudanese street and muzzle it under the pretext of emergency measures necessitated by the necessity of combating terrorism; And thus tightening his grip and allowing more time to hide the signs of the crime of dispersal of the sit-in, in which all indications indicate his involvement.
The source did not rule out that the coming period would witness bombings and fabricated terrorist operations in a number of areas in the country to suggest that the country has become a target for terrorists and thus give more justifications to tighten the security grip and strengthen the position of the military component, which faces a major dilemma with the approaching end of its presidency of the Sovereignty Council and its impact on civilians.
The source pointed out that this new tactical paper comes after the failure of a series of attempts aimed at blocking the process of civil transformation in the country after the popular revolution that toppled the Bashir regime in April 2019.
On Wednesday, Al-Rakuba received a statement issued by the so-called “Russali(missionary/ተልእኮኣዊ ) Movement for Preaching and Combat; Sudan State.
The statement referred to the "Jabra" incident, in which 5 members of the intelligence service were killed, which it says arrested a number of terrorists. The statement threatened to carry out large-scale operations in Sudan and claimed responsibility for the assassination attempt on Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok last year.
While the statement was appended with a link to the alleged organization’s Facebook page; However, the security source confirmed to Al-Rakoba that the page was fabricated several months ago in order to give credibility to the organization within the framework of a large intelligence plan.
The source stated that all the facts indicate that the five who were killed in the operation may have been victims of an internal liquidation process to serve specific purposes; It is unreasonable to send a small force to confront terrorists of this size, and the security services say that they have been following their movements for more than 11 months.
He explained, “The operation was initially related to the pursuit of foreign drug dealers; And when the confrontation expanded and led to the killing of this large number of security men, it was necessary to invest it in intelligence to serve the goals of the military component of the transitional government.”
He added, “In light of the feeling of the members of the “Al-Bashir Security Committee” of the dilemma of dispersing the sit-in and the dwindling of opportunities to exit from it; The only remaining tactic is to prolong their stay in power and not allow their position to be weakened after the transfer of power to civilians.”
The writer is asking why the people who got killed in the operation were sent to face terrorists ,who are supposed to be dangerous, with limited training and weapons ? In his view there are questions to be answered.
