It is not only this. Almost 1/3 of the annual budget of the government is covered by grants/loans from US , western US allies and US supported institutions like IMF and World Bank.
It should not have been this way. We should and could have been self sufficient and economically independent.

Eden, as long as TPLF is alive Ethiopia will never, ever be a peaceful country. Abiy has an obligation to bring the TPLF leaders to face justice. Forget the Susan Rice and colleagues noisemaking. We are Ethiopians, and no country does dictate what we do. Abiy enjoys great popular support because he has the true Ethiopian blood in him that says …. the foreigners who want to dictate what we should do.
