I didn’t see any problem with Secretary Blinken asking all parties to pull out of the territories they took over after the conflict began. With anyone with straight thinking and clear mind there should never have been any internal ‘territorial’ issues. None! If the leaders both in Addis and Mekele were thinking straight they would come up with a plan where both Tigrayans and Amharas live in peace in the disputed territories. They have chosen the gun slinging ways. Violence is becoming their romance of the day. For that Tigrayan the good Amhara is a dead Amhara. For that Amhara the good Tigrayan is a dead Tigrayan. In the meantime it is reported that Debre and his fighters are marching undeterred towards Woldiya. I am not sure how anyone, considering the rugged landscape, will be able to dislodge Debre’s determined fighters from that area. I had seen that area when I took a bus ride towards Asmara on summer vacation in the 1960’s. It is going to be a tall order. It seems Debre has the full support of his people. It is reported that civilians in the northern part of Wollo are not putting up stiff resistance but are fleeing south in their tens of thousands just like what we see now in Afghanistan. I’m not sure how resolute are the folks in the capital. It seems they are losing the will to come up with an effective counteroffensive to stop or reverse the speedy march by Debre and his militia. Do they have a MacArthur among Abiy’s generals who will come up a smart counter offensive war plan? I don’t know and nobody is sure if there is one. They have to prove to everyone. I really thought that you are balanced and someone concerned about the wellbeing of the people of the country we both share. A wellbeing can only be achieved if truth may prevail. For the truth to prevail we all need to defend the truth, no matter where and when.

If you didn't notice the lopsided policy of the American foreign policy, then I don't think you are qualified to defend the truth.

To begin with Ethiopia is a sovereign country and shouldn't be expected to vacate any of its territories to anybody. The task of protecting the country's territories is the sole responsibility of the federal government, regions are not suppoed to have a competence of protecting any sort of territory, they have no privilege of keeping a defense force, in addition to no competence of foreign relations affairs.

This line of thinking is coming from the adherents of CIA operatives, which are telling us to vacate this or that part of our own territories, arrogantly.

Peace is precious, to ensure peace we should be prepared to pay all prices, including use of force and paying the precious human lives.

There is a phrase that still rings in my mind and heard from a young Afar boy, who was injured by woyane's heavy artillery, after deciding to die defending his country instead of giving in and allow the junta that has declared to go to hell to dismantle Ethiopia. I don't think nations (and individuals) are handling out of pure altruism, they pursue their own interests be it partly or wholly in dealing with others. I don't also think the so called western governments are exceptions here, as those so called eastern governments are also not.

In addition to this, I don't also think it was those so called "eastern governments" that made what has become out of the countries we have known as Syria, Libia, Yemen, Iraq, Afganistan and many more to what these members of the UN become today.

Do you have a guarantee the country of Ethiopia will not also take the same route those countries have taken, if we fail to defend it?
