If TPLF finds a way to open the welqait Humera Corridor to Sudan,

Post by Blueshift » 07 Jul 2021, 01:21

TPLF wins big. It may even march to Arat kilo on its own. Actually it depends what Sudan and Egypt do with the opportunity. Sudan and Egypt have to provide the state of the Art weapons. Abbiy's job, if he has what it takes is to foil that plan, bring real men who can really fight. He needs a decent General. Nothing like Bacha or anybody else. Hire Mesfin Hagos, he is doing nothing. He may do it for a couple of million dollars. He knows the agames.  Lucky for him, he escaped Isayas loving treatment. Call that the battle of Welqait gate way. The two agame Generals have to do what General Bernard Montgomery of England and the US General George S. Patton have done at the last hour of second WWII to confuse Hitler. Remember, it is the battle for Welqait that may make or break Abbiy.

Blueshift,

Humera is prone to be colonel Abyi's WATERLOO if he loses it.

For tigryans, it's life or death they need a corridor which connects them with sudan. Perhaps you have noticed lately, they are not putting any pressure on alamata or other fronts rather solely on humera and they are gathering there.

If they capture humera then say bye bye to abi. The notorious dictator alsissi of egypt will arm them with whatever weapons they need. For alsissy, it ain't out of love for tigryans rather to destabilize ethiopia and make it ungovernable.

Kerenite,

You are right. The contest for Welqait is the current version of the Normandy Invasion during second World War. It is a do or die situation for TPLF. TPLF wants to weaken Isayas. TPLF can not afford to wage a full fledged war with Eritrea. But, the Welqait issue is the most expedient. Abbiy perhaps is leaving that for the Amharas to fight it on their own. They won't. Welqait is gone does not mean it is forever gone. They have bigger population. They can deal with it later on. Isayas will not get involved on the welqait issue either. You know, he is a survivor. He survived fifty years to date. He gave them almost everything he had, hoping to engineer the politics of the horn. It did not work. Now, it is time to get conservative. The weyanes will not leave him alone. But, they won't dare to get to the ultimatum. They will weaken him. They need a friendly government in Eritrea to survive as a nation if they go the independence route. For Egypt and Sudan, it is survival. They will do whatever they can to bring Abbiy to the negotiation table with better terms for them.

We shall see it soon. This is the day we have longed to see when they told us they broke our backbone some 20 years ago.
