Getachew Reda shows that typical characteristics as we speak. Such personalities have great values and may have worked to preserve our independence "single handedly" in the past but, today, there is no need to commit suicide by declaring of taking over Eritrea/Amhara/World with bare hands? When you can do the same thing using negotiations power.

How about Getachew asking to bring the old "provinces" of Ethiopia back? Propose to bring back the old "Federation" with Eritrea or go along with Abiy/Isaias proposed East African Federation/Union that includes Somalia?

Why declare WAR on Eritrea when what you want is to unite with it?

Bottom line, Tegaru can have their cake and eat it too!

If Tigres spared Ethiopia in the past, then that was also because back then the center of gravity of the country was in the north, many things Ethiopia was known for and lived on all came from the north. Now the center has moved to the south, its capital city, its precious resources, its human capital, its seat of political heartbeat (just remember how the recent movement started by Qeerroos movement, in the south, drove out the highly entrenched and armed to the teeth TPLF, which hoped to rule for at least 100 years) within couple of years. In 1991 that was not the case. Before 1991 it is even more difficult to imagine such kind of power to reckon with could emerge from the south. Even our access to the ext. market has now shifted to the south, or at least don't solely rely on just one route.

BTW. Is that guy Tibebu menamen, the same guy, who was singing about Amara yesew lij wuhalik song?

Yared is a former EPDM (EPRDF); In this video, he says that he was the first to claim "OroMara" some 28 years ago (eat your heart out Seyoum Teshome! :~) but, dropped it later after looking where it was going?

BTW, believe it or not, ጎዳና ያእቆብ is a "Borena" "boy" who has families both in Kenya and Ethiopia. So, he is conscious of "Qerroos"!

Preserving Ethiopian Independence is not like today's embarrassing "internal" bickering of ours. It's absolutely not the same!

I found Yared's designation of Tegaru "stubborn" character very ringing! Seyoum Teshome has authenticated that Tegaru character in his videos. Seyoum said, you can't explain that in Conflict Theory! Further studies are needed in that "characteristics".

Having said that, "Ethnic Federation" is a colonial design to isolate "Amhara Nationalism" from the rest of Ethiopia.

Yared, a very nice person, but he is getting old and emotional. He is somewhat disrespectful towards PMAA. I think he should listen carefully to the explanation given by Ambassador Redwan to how things in Tigray developed to where we are now.
