The Cease Fire expires in September, now what ?

Post by Blueshift » 28 Jun 2021, 15:08

Abbiy has given himself time for recruiting and training. Right now, he is very much defense less. Isayas has a lot of muscle left in him. Which way to go ? I say Addis. The Weyanes will not move an inch in Eritrea. However, the road to Addis is wide open. The slogan Ethiopia First must be the way to go. Forget about Tigray this Tigray that. It is all about saving Ethiopia.

One must be naive in thinking of saving Ethiopia with out saving one part of Ethiopia as that might be considered a wrong shift. The military's movement out of Tigray to go and secure the election events coupled with the withdrawal of Eritrean troops might have opened the gate for the tplf. Why wouldn't the tplf try to take over the whole of Ethiopia and Eritrea if victory is so easy for them? 8)

Sun,

I know you like Abbiy. First time, I thought he was the Abraham Lincoln of Ethiopia too. I found him to be the direct opposite. Any way, victory is not easy for the Tigrayans. But, they are willing to pay whatever it demands. When their sisters, wives are raped, what do you expect ? BTW, Ethiopian army was never ready for this. Abbiy made a big mistake for bringing the regional forces Especially, the angry amhara Liyu Hail and militia. I don't believe you know where Abbiy is going. You support him for what he looks like he represents. I doubt he does.

Hmm...

I am not a politician who flip flops in every direction when the winds keep blowing in every direction. I Support Dr. Abiyy's fantastic already implemented reforms and the roads that led to the current free and fair election for the first time in 3000 years of Ethiopian history. I also know that there are greedy and power hungry blind individuals in a country of some 80 different groups who hate all of these innovative reforms unless they are able to grab power by other undemocratic means just like Libya, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. Just to day the coalition forces were busy bombing Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. All these after previously dropping the biggest bomb known as a mother of all the bombs on Syria with no practical positive effects on the ground.

I think that the Amhara Liyu Hail and militia were not sent by the PM but went by themselves with high speed because the tplf have long been training militias, Liyu Hail and police forces which they kept parading all over the streets carrying modern arms while at the same time digging trenches after trenches along the Tigray Amhara border. Add to these tplf's virulent non stop anti Amhara poisonous propaganda which seem to end the very existence of the Amhara people.

So when the tplf attacked the Ethiopian Defense force base, I think Amharas go panicky and rushed over to contain the aggressive tplf before the tplf may have the chance to invade them. After all even the tplf said that it planned to grab the Amhara region first and then after that fast move on to Addis Ababa. Last but not least, why wouldn't Amhara forces join the resistance when tplf have already training, arming and sending militant groups all over Ethiopia and causing major problems? To be honest Amharas have the right to defend themselves! BINGO!
