Obbo Abiy also wants revenge, due to the fact that he, and his party, resented being bullied, thrashed, trampled upon, etc, by the ''elites'' from the minority Tegaru. It's about power, money, past grudges and revenge, etc. Amara feel tplf made them targets, took their lands, marginalized them, etc, so when obbo abiy came to power, they saw it as a chance for revenge.
