These guys don't know what they are talking about. Weyanes do plan to hold referendum if Tigray wants to be independent or in some kind of arrangement such as confederation. But, the weyanes are not that stupid to bring the Tigray Tigrigni garbage again. Eritrea is independent recognized by the UN. It stops right there. However, they know they can't be independent as long as Isayas is around. Hence, they hope for a new friendly regime in Eritrea. Without a friendly regime in Eritrea, independence for Tigray is meaningless. Another big issue they have deal with involves the Western part of Tigray or northern part of Amhara ...It depends who you ask nowadays Very complicated situation there. This is a big mess.
