Eritrean population size pales with Ethiopian population size. That is 3.5 million :115 million. Any kind of alliance, whether it is Confederation, federation or even any form of regional alliance will cleanse the Eritreans out of the map. All Ethiopians have to do is, help migrate 5 million Amharas , Five million Oromos and two million Tigrayans to Eritrea. Haile Sellasie concocted a story of the migration of Tigrigna population from the land of the amharas. This used to be taught in Schools. The people of Hamasien and Akele Guzay migrated from Dembia, Gondar. The people of Seraye migrated from Wollo bete amhara. These were fictional stories. Unfortunately, a lot of idiots like Hawzen believe it. That is the very reason, Hawzen likes to post specific Dembian rooted music on this site. Poeple like Tarik, Temt, Ape Abraham, the dead brain, Roha, Mesob, etc...are children of Ethio soldiers. That is the very reason they kiss up to the amharas day and night. Anyway, coming back to the soft cleansing of Eritreans. Any kind of Union with Ethiopia will wipe out Eritrea. I really feel sorry for the None Tigrigna Eritreans. They have no voice at all. It is like they don't exist. They are being punished for starting the independence movement back in 1961. You know how the Chinese threaten Taiwan's sovereignity. The Chinse threaten to pee on the land of Taiwan and bring back Taiwan to the father/mother land of China without firing a bullet. Perhaps, Ethiopians are doing the same thing to Eritrea. The good thing is, Abbiy goofed, and that may save Eritrea from Ethiopia.

There’s no such a thing of federation or union or other crap claims between the two countries. Djibouti has more integrated economy with Ethiopia but it’s a sovereign country. Eritrea wants to have strong integrated economy with Ethiopia to the level Djibouti has... Eritrea would love to have at least 50% of Ethiopia exports imports to pass through Eritrea... economic integration not federation or other stuff. Twenty plus countries in Europe have economies integration but they are sovereign countries...

You are right there is always a demographic threat to Eritrea. From erthiopians. Ethiopia is still obsessed with port issues and wants Eritrean seas. Any way its better for Eritrea to support the balkanisation of Ethiopia. It's better for Ethiopia for Eritrea for Djibouti for Somalia.

Thank you for your civility. But, after all the things that happened during and after independence in EPLF saga, many of us are suspicious. Many heroes have been made to disappear without any reasonable explanation. Abbiy's bizarre behavior, Isayas declaration of anyone who thinks Eritreans and Ethiopians are two different people is wrong, etc... Later on , Dina Mufti's declaration of our independence as useless ( That is Abbiy talking), The Eritrean government failure to give rebuttal to that, Eritrean dying in Tigray for what ? BTW, that is mind boggling, Abbiy's Battle ship ( Djibouti president was qouted as saying), Ethiopian battle ship will operate out of Massawa, etc.... These and many are very alarming events. There is nothing wrong doing port business with Ethiopia, but a government in Eritrea that is absolutely not accountable to the people is very dangerous to the sovereignty of Eritrea. Isayas calling the port of Assab and Massawa much less the jewel of the RedSea, they don't even qualify to be ports is absolutely unforgivable. Eritrean ports could have been developed beginning 29 years ago. The German government advised the Eritrean government to declare the ports duty free, and build merchant ship hobs so that European Merchant ships can do business in Eritrea as as the ships transport their loads back and forth from Asia. He didn't do it. Eritrean population is reduced from 6 mil to 3.5 mil. What is going on ? Now our affairs are intermingled with a country that has all kind of problems and boasts 115 million people to 3.5 mil population of Eritrea. Abbiy is looking for a free sea outlet. I believe Abbiy wants to be remembered as the hero who brought Eritrea back its mother, Ethiopia's fold. Abbiy said, Ethiopia will not disintegrate, as a matter of fact those who left will come back. Meaning Eritrea will. What a blanket statement that is.
