A high-ranking Sudanese military source denied reports of heavy weapons clashes between the Sudanese and Ethiopian armies in the "Basinda" border area.
In exclusive statements to Al-Shorouk, the Sudanese military source confirmed that these reports are completely untrue, indicating that the situation is stable in the border region.
The source pointed out that there is a field visit by a high-level delegation in the Sudanese army only to the areas of Taya, Umm Rakuba, and Shaibet, and that the conditions are stable in the region.
This comes at a time when news circulated on social media, earlier today, that clashes with heavy weapons broke out between the Sudanese and Ethiopian armies in the "Basinda" border area.
It is noteworthy that the relations between Khartoum and Addis Ababa have recently witnessed severe tensions on the eastern borders between them, specifically in the Fashaqa area, after the Sudanese army deployed in that area for the first time since 1995; Where the army recaptured large areas of Ethiopian forces and militias.

It is the intelligence of Egypt, the country which is occupying Halayib and Shalateen and prints counterfeit Sudanese money, behind the rumour.

We thank God for the Internet, and before it, Arab Sat which revealed to the Sudanese ' Arabs ' how our neighbours to the north ( Egypt ) and the rest of the so-called Arab world see us .
The Sudanese are now aware and are going after the interests of the entity called Sudan (what is left of it at least) ... The era of ( Egypt ) my sister country and the Arab dream have ended… Oh God, thank you.
