News coming from Egypt seems to contradic itself within just a matter of a day or so. Its foreign ministry (Minister) was quoted to have said that the filling of the GERD is not going to reduce the water we its (his) country is getting from Nile.

I also heard a very much optimism coming from the current leader of the AU, who reportedly has said that he is very much optimistic that the deal between the three nations over the GERD will succeed just yesterday or today.

America did also reportedly express its disaproval of any sort of military confrontation over the GERD and favored a negotiated settlement of the issues, at least before the recently announced truce between Israel and Palestine.

Today we are already hearing from multiple sources that the Sudanese and Egyptian militaries have resumed their joint military exercise, in Sudan. It seems odd in the face of the above mentioned news that have been coming out from the different sources.

What has changed since then is only that we were told Egypt was instrumental in reaching at the truce between the two warring parties, and America was the driving force behind the push. Israel was saying up until yesterday that it is determined to make sure that HAMAS will not be able to strike against it in the future, which is something like it was seeking the total destruction of the Gaza stripe.
In fact we were also told that the majority of the Israelis were supporting the total defeat of HAMAS, but the conflict is now declared suddenly to have stopped, which is a good news as far as I am concerned.

The tone coming from Joe Biden also changed suddenly, from his alleged support of de escalation of the conflict before yesterday to expecting the immidiate end of the conflict and a cease fire since yesterday.

We have many questions now to get answered:

What was the incentive for Egypt to suddenly give a hope to America and agreeing to reach at a truce? And from whom?

Why is the tone with regard to GERD changed at the same time that comes from Egypt?

Why is the tone from America changed suddenly?

What is cooking behind the curtain and what is the AU saying about it?

We have many questions to be answered.
