It is likely the Egyptians may be emboldened now to invade Ethiopia or prop up to do the dirty job using their Arab slaves in Sudan,
at this moment when the world community is distracted in the Israeli conflict.
The Egyptians may feel that current US statements are helpful to Egypt and they feel that they are closer to the USA after doing a favour
in "bringing" Hamas to a ceasefire.
Ethiopia needs to watch the situation very carefully
