I like Andargachew. He is one of the honest politician Ethiopia ever had. He however made a mistake, probably overtaken by fleeting emotion, when he suggested the American flag should be burned. The American flag represents the American people. There are more than 300 million of them. If one has an issue with Susan Rice, he should not take his frustration with her by burning the flag that represents that many millions. Having said that I wonder though why the name Birhanu Nega and Andargachew Tsige irritates the tribal cadres of Ethiopia from all corner, the north especially ? The guys have had an impeachable credence for standing up for national politics which is not tainted with tribalism. One is Gurage. The other is Amhara. But they see each other as Ethiopians first. That irritates the tribal crowd. I however respect them for that.

In my view flag is one of the symbolic representations of the system of government and it is the responsibility of the government in charge to take care of its symbols and by extention that of the people it claim to represent.

Burning a flag is not much an issue, it was being burned in many different parts of this world in open and it is being burned in many corners of this world today and it will be burned in the future if America (menas its government) doesen't desist itself from its interference in the internal affairs of soverign nations of this world. The world is tired of American bullying!

I can see and feel what is burning inside of Ato Andargachew Tsigie and millions of other citizens of Ethiopia and that is not uncalled for.
