Now we are talking! A bill is passed, the executive has to enforce. Belligerent here implies EZEMA and its US/EU offices who have gone wild on a PR of maintaining the status quo!

EZEMA is the soft underbelly of the status quo group and as such, the stick should start landing on this group!

The headline is wrong. It is the Senate foreign relations committee that passed the resolution, not the full Senate. The committee is wrong. It assumes there is a bargaining partner in TPLF. That is far from the truth.

This is the d!ck portion of the bill that belligerent parties might like to consider!!
(10) urges the Secretary of State, the Secretary of the Treasury, and the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, in coordination with the heads of other relevant Federal departments and agencies, to—

(A) engage at the highest levels with leaders of the Government of Ethiopia, the Government of Eritrea, and the TPLF to encourage the full cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of Eritrean forces, mitigate the humanitarian crisis that has emerged from the conflict, and support an inclusive process of national dialogue and reconciliation;

(B) immediately establish criteria to end the pause of all non-life-sustaining assistance to Ethiopia and support programming to meet immediate humanitarian needs, including of refugees and internally displaced persons, advance nonviolent conflict resolution and reconciliation throughout the country, and aid a democratic transition in Ethiopia;

(C) take continued actions to ensure that a “full, independent, international investigation into all reports of human rights violations, abuses, and atrocities” committed in the course of the conflict as called for by Secretary of State Blinken on February 27, 2021, is conducted, and impose strict accountability measures on those found responsible;

(D) use all diplomatic, developmental, and legal tools to prevent further ethnic-based violence and mass atrocities, including by non-state armed groups, and promote competitive multi-party democracy in Ethiopia; and

(E) maintain close coordination with international allies and multilateral organizations regarding efforts to address the conflict in the Tigray Region and other regions of Ethiopia and bring attention to the conflict in international fora, including the United Nations Security Council.

Amend the title so as to read: “A resolution calling on the Government of Ethiopia, the Tigray People's Liberation Front, and other belligerents in the conflict in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia to cease all hostilities, protect human rights, allow unfettered humanitarian access, and cooperate with independent investigations of credible atrocity allegations.”.

" The U.S. Senate passes Resolution 97 by unanimous consent

"S.Res.97", a resolution "calling on the Government of Ethiopia, the Tigray People's Liberation Front, and other belligerents in the conflict in the #Tigray Region of Ethiopia to cease all hostilities, protect human rights, allow unfettered humanitarian access, and cooperate with independent investigations of credible atrocity allegations," was passed yesterday by unanimous consent."

I don't see anything new. But what will they do if the government doesn't comply with their will? Who care?

Nothing new!! Ethiopia is not a protectorate state like the late prime minister put it.

isnt what i posted right above you not comprehensive enough? Such as 10B? FYI, billions are going to Sudan and Kenya to contain and repatriate refugees so that floodgate policy of iaaayas wont be effective. Perhaps more stringent immigration laws will be passed by all neighbouring countries.

What US basically called for; secession of hostilities in Tigray and a path away from a stolen roadmap is to say the least,is10 commandment biblical! :lol: :lol: :lol:
Of course, the roadmap thieves see it as an infringement on their right to steal...and that they are entitled to keep ethiopia as an EZEMA protectorate!

On May 28, 1991, a rag tag rebel army of the Tigrean People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) marched into Ethiopia’s capital. That day shall eternally live in infamy.

The TPLF is a terrorist organization listed in the Global Terrorism Database.

USAID and the rest of the international poverty pimps turned a blind eye, deaf ears and muted lips as the T-TPLF used humanitarian aid to build its political base and outright buy votes.

Meles and the T-TPLF implemented a divide and conquer strategy called ethnic federalism creating the modern equivalent of apartheid white South Africa’s Bantustans.

The T-TPLF’s version of black apartheid is called Klilil-istan.

From the time the T-TPLF seized power, it embarked on a systematic program of de-Ethiopianization with the twin aims of 1) striping Ethiopians of any meaningful consciousness of their national identity and expurgate from their collective social experience any sense of commonly shared values, beliefs and customs, and 2) balkanize, merchandize and dismember the country employing a variety of tactics and schemes.

As part of the de-Ethiopianization program, Meles and the T-TPLF declared in the preamble to their constitution that there is no Ethiopian nation, only “nations, nationalities and peoples.”

Meles declared Ethiopia’s flag is a “piece of rag” and “Ethiopian history a fairy tale.”

The T-TPLF uses state terrorism to cling to power and suppress all opposition.

Since 1992, the T-TPLF and its regional lackeys “have cultivated a climate of fear and repression by using state power to punish political dissent in often brutal fashion.”

In 2005, Meles Zenawi and the T-TPLF ordered the massacre of hundreds of people following the May 2005 election. The findings of an Inquiry Commission set up by Meles Zenawi put the entire blame for the massacres on Meles and his T-TPLF.

This resolution is not gonna do it. The only way to prevent the Rwanda-like genocide is the NATO solution in Bosnia-Herzegovina. :lol: :lol:

Yours truly wants to drill some truth to the TPLF cadres. They are excited about S. Res 97. They shouldn’t. The chance that the whole Senate takes it and discuss about has no a better chance than zero. It just dies there in the committee.
Let us say it just comes to the Senate floor so that the 100 Senators discuss about it.
Here is the problem. S.Res 97 is defective. It needs a profound change. It suggests the Ethiopian government and TPLF to sort out their problems.The other day however the Ethiopian parliament declared TPLF is a terrorist organization. Somebody had to tell to the committee members the hard fact.

Aba Awash, the terrorist agame,

Years ago, we told you that, if you terrorist agame are lucky, your Tigray will become like the UN-administered enclave of Kosovo, but you refused to accept that reality, opting to be a Gypsy instead. Today, you are a Gypsy wandering aimlessly in the wilderness inhospitable to humans. And, Diaspora-dwelling coward digital terrorists like you, will never have a country to call your own, always predicting gloom and doom that doesn't come true. See what I mean. :mrgreen: :lol: :lol: :lol:

EZEMA goons, no one playing word games amidst a brewing humanitarian crisis!

Pending eritrea's withdrawal, the onus of preventing further humanitarian crisis in Tigray is placed upon ethiopian government! Be it meeting with darth vedar, satan, tplf, duqet or what ever designation the long expired parliament wants to name the fighting force is of little consequence.

The resolution is still gentle considering that the axis of evil's action is about to expose gen y, z and millennials to gruesome images that we grew up watching in the 70s and 80s. And when that happens, the kids are going to burn the pentagon do and push it into action, that hasnt been called for in this bill!!

''regain democratic stability ahead of national elections'' so as to establish a less volatile political risk environment and maintain a competent workforce commensurate with the emaculate 10 year development agenda!

anything else is tantamount to an isolationist agenda in a world that is still unipolar, so far as enterprise laws and risk assessment is concerned!
:lol: :lol:

Heck,
The delinquency is so vast that even esu is turning away from the bu·reauc·ra·cy that meles purchased a dime a dozen as place holder manikins!
