EU has suspended €100 million fund (for 9 projects) approved by the EU after the peace treaty between Eritrea and Ethiopia. The reason is 'Tigrray Crisis'. The problem is Eritrea was not interested and have not approved it. Thus out of the this fund, only 19 million for one project was transfered to the UN and has not even reached Eritrea. The rest 8 projects were rejected by Eritrea. Thus EU has suspended a fund which is neither asked by the Eritrean governement nor approved it.
Previously, the EU banned the head of the Eritrean Intelligence Agency who have never travelled to Europe from entering the EU. I am not sure which one is funnier.

Thanks quindibu! It is quite obvious that those two people you have mentioned missed the fact that unity is needed most at this moment when our basic values are under attack. As you said, i don't see eye to eye with some. Unfortunately that led to unnecessary disparages, and with regard to the cause, see no further than the responses of both on this thread. It is quite staggering as to which part my post offended them. That is what we call in Tigrinya "ጠዊቕካ ጽልኢ"። Anyway, for the reason I stated above, i would rather let it slide than to enter into nasty insults with fellow Eritreans which i always regret afterwards. I don't remember how it started, but i regret insults that we once exchanged with bro Zmeselo. As much as i differe on my views on politics, I actually like some of the information he brings. I wish there was even the slightest tolerance for other views.
